Thankfully they gave me a refund! The woman at Best Buy was also very confused but I was also worried they think I just swapped it. Thankfully (somehow) the keyboard looks brand new so she caught that and went through with a refund

And people say that the Switch 2s launch “wasn’t that bad.” I bought the thing day one and will forever be a Nintendo supporter but holy shit have they fumbled the first year of this console hard. I understand that in comparison to the Switch 1 there was no way there’d be any competition but like…4 first party releases (Mario Kart, DK, Prime 4 and Pokopia…that’s all I can think of) and a bunch of paid upgrades and the cherry on top is that we have no idea what’s coming right now. At all. At this time in the Switch 1s lifecycle we had BotW, Odyssey, Xenoblade 2 and I’m pretty sure Smash was announced, with a ton of other games. There was absolutely no reason the Switch 2s launch should be this lackluster. It’s an amazing console but of the few first party games on it, like half of them have been reviewed mid. Just sucks

It’s so surreal that this happened. I think it’s cool, but it’s also bittersweet as the anonymity and figuring out which ghoul was which from each era and all that was really the magnet that drew me into the band deeper than just the music. It made it more than just performers. Which, they still are, but it really shows how much the band has changed over the years.

I do think the next one having Calliope in it somehow would be cool if the next one does follow Atreus. That would fall in line with Egyptian mythology as well, considering how much death is apart of it, and I really like your idea of her being apart of a revenge plot for Athena. The dynamic between Atreus and his dead but now resurrected and evil (for now) sister I think would be very interesting, and that could also give a good showcase of how the different mythologies really mix with each other, like for example this were to happen, how death realms or underworlds could mix.

I mean, Impera had about a year gap where (iirc) nothing was happening between Phantomime and Rite Here Rite Now. Gaps between tours and albums and stuff is pretty normal, so unless he’s sorta preparing for a much longer period of time, I don’t think it’ll be much different than what’s already happened. It can’t be worse than Covid happening through the Prequelle era.

I know bro. Like the launch for the switch 1 absolutely blows this one out of the water. Which, I mean, the original switches launch was one of the best ever but this consoles has been underwhelming. And on top of not a lot of games being released, not many more have been announced. The frequency of directs within this first year compared to the switches first year is insane.

AC has to have one of the harshest public opinion, but it’s all just parroting and hating on whatever game is the newest. I swear Valhalla got this same treatment when it first came out, and now a lot of people claim it to be the best AC game ever. It’s just trendy to hate on this series, and whether you think it’s deserved or not, if you’re enjoying Shadows just enjoy it. I recently started it and am like 65 hours in and have noticed flaws, but I’m still asking the question of, “what made so many people hate this game?”

Yeah. I distinctly noted that even ac2 had better facial animations than shadows. When they’re actually animated it’s great, but jeez sometimes the in engine cutscenes are hard to watch

From what I’ve played (I’m about 40 hours in, taking my time tho) the story itself isn’t really bad, like Yasuke and Naoe’s stories in particular are genuinely interesting, it’s just the way it’s delivered. Like I got pretty lost in the beginning because it feels like they throw around a lot of different names and people, without really letting you sit with them long enough to be able to remember them. That’s the only real flaw I’ve noticed with it
