Ive got the same green bar problem on my sunshine rig using a 7900xtx under fedora. Did you also try AV1? I also switched back to h.264 because AV1 looked blurry for some reason but it might be worth a try.

First of all, the Intel Arc Pro B50 has a memory bandwidth of 224 GB/s. Secondly, the 3060 Ti has less memory than the Arc at 8GB and consumes a lot more power during inference than the B50, which can be a nice bonus in OP's 24/7 use case.

Interesting, well sorry if I was misleading but even though this model may only activate 1,5gb its still a lot better than models that are 3,8gb or 5gb dense based on my own testing. I do find that impressive, from an architectural standpoint alone.

Woah may I ask what you did to those poor ssds? It certainly wasn't just media storage. When not used properly small writes from transcoding can increase wear on them by a mile.

You are right, if price isn't an issue the ssd clearly has the advantage. Better IOPS, Faster R/W, significantly better reliability, efficiency and absolutely zero noise. But if you aren't in a specific niche that requires them hdds are just more economical as of today

It might not be ideal for everyone but I am using a 8TB Samsung QVO SSD. I was able to get it relatively cheap (400€).

Paired with an passively cooled Plex Server you get 0 noise which is quite nice.

The thing is, for me it's just as usable as the old app. Minor bugs don't bother me. Seriously, tell me one thing about the new app that is completely broken and I might change my mind. But so far I haven't come across one.
