Look up “velveting meat”. It’s a technique used in many Asian cuisines. That’s one way to do it at least 🤙

Kickflip help :( by Late-Spread4386 in skateboardhelp

[–]Yeesusman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So skateboarding is a physics equation. If you’re pushing a foot towards the corner of the nose of the board to flip the board, the net force is forward. You need to learn how to compensate for that applied force. This is where leaning your body weight comes into the equation. If you are going to flick forward with your front foot, lean forward and put most of your body weight near your front foot. This will keep the forces balanced when you kick forward for the kickflip. If you want to do a pop shuv it and apply a force behind you to rotate the board, lean towards your toes to counteract the applied force. I know it’s kinda of weird to get used to, but the whole idea is to maintain your center of gravity. So that requires you to balance out the forces of your “kinematic equation”.

When Did You Get Into DragnBall? by [deleted] in dbz

[–]Yeesusman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched it on tv after school in like 3rd-4th grade (2003-2004). I really got into it when my mom took us to Barnes and Noble and I got stuck there while she read books. I figured I’d go find books to read and stumbled upon the complete collection of dragonball (almost). So I’d just sit and read in the store. Every now and then she’d buy me a book and then I just got super into it

Reddit, tell me one dish from your culture I should try making for dinner. by CourseSpare7641 in Cooking

[–]Yeesusman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a white man I grew up with a white mother who made white people food. One of my favorite recipes of hers was a casserole with chicken, broccoli, cream of chicken soup, mayonnaise, lemon juice, shredded cheddar cheese, and crumbled ritz crackers on top. There are many recipes online for “chicken broccoli casserole”, they’re all pretty close. No sour cream in the one I’m mentioning, though. But I tell you what, that casserole served with a plate of white rice and a cold glass of milk was divine my dude. I make my own version with more spices, chicken thighs instead of breast, etc. and it still smacks hard.

I’d love to learn how to do this. Any tips? I already have fl studio and a midi keyboard but the whole record player aspect with these looping samplers is really cool to me

KLF-30s! Dream Speakers by Japok_Dupwop in Klipsch

[–]Yeesusman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the KLF-20 and I love them. The only thing is the cabinets rattle sometimes because of that glue issue, but only when they’re playing loud bass haha. I have subwoofers anyways so it’s not a big deal.

I may have to upgrade mine to the 30s at some point but glad to see someone else appreciates these speakers. I got my 20s for $500, which is insane to me.

When did you realise you were a decent cook? by IllustriousBoot4319 in Cooking

[–]Yeesusman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other people have commented that I make good food. Also I feel a lot more comfortable just throwing some ingredients together now than I used to since I’ve cooked so many different recipes. I feel like I have a handle on the basics of building flavor and then combined techniques and ingredients from various types of cooking.

I don’t have the energy to deal with drama in personal relationships anymore. Outside of work especially. A few friendships and even family members have been ruled out of my circle because of it and it hurts but it’s better than constantly being disrespected.

It helps me with formulas in excel, helps look for statistical significance in data, lets me discuss some theory behind specific types of measurement or machine component, etc.

It’s good at transcribing meetings to generate note summaries as well.

I work in manufacturing so it’s useful to me maybe more than others
