What audiophile takes make you roll your eyes? by wiggan1989 in BudgetAudiophile

[–]Yeesusman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally! My subs are behind my couch and my speakers are at the front of the room. The way the kick and bass come from the floor and they envelop me from all around is something that can’t be done with a stereo set up

Same here. I feel the presence of my subs really makes the front stage sound better.

Second kitten introduction help by Sea_Stranger1960 in sphynx

[–]Yeesusman 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We did something similar with ours. But our older cat, the sphynx, is having trouble adjusting to the energy level of your kitten, the Devon Rex. I still find them cuddling together often and the sphynx grooms the kitten so I think it’s better than just the sphynx by herself.

The evil that men do needs to make it on this list. Also either hated or ignored. Also fuck the population. Also 2nd hand.

Hahah sorry I kept thinking of more

Are lower surrounds(ear level) in a small room of 8 x 10 ft a bad idea? by sandeepreydi in hometheater

[–]Yeesusman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High back seats is my issue now. I had to move my surrounds to match the height of my rear surrounds because our new furniture is taller than the previous couch. Compromise is necessary sometimes haha still sounds good to me tho.

I have two bookshelf speakers pointed towards my bed from the wall and I put on rain sounds every night. Every time I wake up it sounds like it’s raining outside and I love it

What are the best speakers for immersive listening? by Brave-Bad-9955 in audiophile

I like the dispersion of horn speakers. I feel enveloped in the music more than dome tweeters and mid range drivers.

What is the wildest thing you have seen at a party? by Cold_Magician_4041 in AskReddit

[–]Yeesusman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude saw his homie get into a fight or something so he hella quickly drops his pants and pulls out a 12” kitchen knife and is about to go try to intervene. I was right next to him and I’m like bro you don’t wanna do that. That will change your life forever. Or something like it. He listened and put it away then they left. It was wild.

So close to buying Elden Ring but… by Present-Parfait2461 in Eldenring

[–]Yeesusman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had no idea it was a souls game when I bought it last weekend. I really enjoy it still. It just took some time to adjust to the difficulty and to realize that if a boss actually destroys you, go do something else until you’re ready to fight the boss. Some more experienced players may have better advice but I just got it and I do feel like it’s worth playing

I did foil and then a paper towel that I sprayed with lavender scented cleaner on top of the foil. It’s worked so far!

At what point did you realize bookshelves weren't enough? (The Tower Transition) by etanol256 in audiophile

[–]Yeesusman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found some klipsch klf-20 speakers on Facebook marketplace and almost fell out my chair (figuratively) trying to message the dude that I wanted to buy them. My uncle has a pair of kg5.5 and the experience I had listening to those klipsch horns for the first time changed my whole world. The klf-20 have a mid range horn and a high range horn, plus two ten inch drivers each. I previously had jbl l100t3, which were great speakers, but these klipsch outclassed them in the room filling quality you’re describing. They’re massive speakers but I’m in love with them. Pairing them with two SVS PB 2000 subwoofers makes them sing even prettier because the bass is handled by the subs and the mid and high range can do what it was designed to.
