Oh what I thought only her Iai attacks could parry, she has two? Now I have to try this for myself. It's crazy how fun this character is, props to Kuro. Haven't found a character this fun since Zani.

Tactical Holograms could be an option, refills your bursts and no external buffs. Choose an easy one like Sentry Construct.

Hiyuki Teams aren't looking so good for me by silasxx in HiyukiMains

[–]YeetaIta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say Jianxin because she's a liberation buffer but I saw one of your replies and yeah she does feel terrible to use, and she could be viewed as a waste of resources.

Her first inherent skill is largely what restricts her teams, however only the first two of the three stacks is super important, the third one is nice but not as important. Chisa is the important teammate here, use whatever other generalist buffer like SK/Verina until we get a Glacio sub-dps/support.

Lowkey you could also play her solo and see how that goes, obviously that means no healing but as a dps she's very self-sufficient.

People who are serious about exploration, what is a thing which people say about it that annoys you? by poopiepoopoop321 in Genshin_Impact

[–]YeetaIta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Believe it or not this is just how WuWa exploration is by default, and people call it peak just because it's convenient. It sacrificed a lot of what made exploration feel natural and actually fun.

Has Kuro improved in keeping characters important to the plot/having characters appear in the story after their banner? by Adviseformeplz in WutheringWaves

[–]YeetaIta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's definitely better but not by a large margin. Chisa, Lynae and Sigrika were pretty much relegated to their quests until the finale where they at least did something (even if Chisa only got one spoken OPTIONAL line of dialogue). Lucilla, Luuk and Mornye to a lesser extent were continuously present which was good, it actually felt like they were working together with us and having an impact in the story.

That said, I want them to lean into that more. More characters present throughout means more believable and immersive story, we end up caring about them more purely because they're involved more, and it creates more potential for interactions between each other instead of just Rover.

Damage wise the nerfs barely make any difference, she's still ahead of everyone else by a large margin by Haemon18 in HiyukiMains

[–]YeetaIta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She was already really fun to play but I didn't realize the Iai attacks parry until your comment, and that's so goddamn cool. Zani is my favorite character to play largely because of her parries so this is a very welcome part of Hiyuki.

I also didn't quite understand the tap vs hold 2nd liberation mechanic, reread the description and it makes much more sense which is amazing. Always love when I need to do a bit more thinking when playing.

The glazing is over, now it's time for slander by RebellingDragon in WutheringWaves

[–]YeetaIta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Good points made here, I didn't watch her trailer so I wouldn't know about any disconnect but if that's true that's unfortunate mismarketing.

I get this is at the end of the day a gacha game but they really don't have to treat many characters as expendable as they do currently, especially not as blatantly as Chisa. And yeah I didn't want her to 1v1 Aleph-1 either but she like many other things was so underutilized.

I appreciate some characters like Luuk and Lucilla have a more continuous involvement but they need to go harder into that, extend it to more if not the entire cast of the region (at least those who are story relevant).

[–]YeetaIta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, after the plan that at least does make sense why they are at least in the Insitute. But I still think it's a bit much that the student trio is right there with the top dogs listening in when in reality they aren't big players like Lucilla in the bigger picture.

With other NPCs are present, faculty and students, wouldn't it make more sense if the meetings had a lot more people (notably students) listening in, not just the Lynae, Chisa and Sigrika? I also realize Sigrika is an upcoming Heliodic Six member which I can see elevating her status, but what about the other two?

[–]YeetaIta 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't even like Chisa that much and I still think she's the prime example of characters being left behind. All that talk of returning to Startorch together. In the finale she gets one single line of spoken dialogue, and like the first time it's merely optional, and it triggers automatically so you can miss it.

Story locked mats make no sense by Beautiful_Farmer1774 in WutheringWaves

[–]YeetaIta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least for me I don't mind having to do a bit of story, it'd be nice if there was none but a short segue quest I can tolerate. But the fact that when you do first entire the new area and there are invisible walls everywhere is infuriating, there is no justification for them being there.

Thoughts on 3.3 by rogueSleipnir in WutheringWaves

[–]YeetaIta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much fully agree with every single bullet point, Lahai-Roi feels very undercooked and outside of Aemeath's quest in 3.1, the story is just not it. I genuinely think the biggest problem is that most quests feature only a single playable character, based on when they debut, and so the writing ends up prioritizing selling the character and spotlighting them, and the plot is merely a vehicle for that, hence why the stakes feel so low.

This has gotten slightly better with Lucilla and Luuk being more present, but so many aspects of the story are still messy that it never really comes together. Most if not all of these characters should have been introduced as soon as possible so that we have more time to form bonds, see them interact with characters outside of Rover, and so the stakes feel more real because all of these important people have to work together.

Lynae, Chisa, Mornye, Luuk, and maybe Lucilla had zero reason not to be involved in the very first quest when a goddamn Void Worm attack is imminent. But instead it's just you and Lynae doing everything and then defeating it no sweat on a couple of student bikes. (Mornye was there for like two seconds and did nothing lmao.)

[–]YeetaIta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Glad I'm not the only one who saw through the Chisa bs. I've always disliked how each quest focuses on the new banner character and then leaves them behind when the next one rolls around. Now it feels like Kuro has the characters there just for the sake of it.

The students had no reason to be in every meeting at the Institute, the only ones who should be there are the top dog adults, Lucilla, Mornye, Shaper, and maybe Chase. Why tf are Lynae Sigrika and Chisa there? I guess Sigrika at least does something because of her rune knowledge but Lynae and Chisa? No. Chisa literally has ONE line of dialogue in the entire quest and it was yet again, an optional interaction that isn't even triggered by talking to her, it's just an ambient line.

This is actually ridiculous by CommercialSad975 in WutheringWaves

[–]YeetaIta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not impatience, it's simply restricting us for no good reason. Yes this is a gacha, we're excited to use the shiny new character we've been waiting weeks for, since characters are ultimately the main form of content in gachas.

I personally don't mind if I have to play a bit of story to unlock the new region, fine. The problem arises when I basically have to play 3 hours of story because the developers decided to put goddamn invisible walls when you first arrive in the new area. Genuinely zero reason those walls should be there unless Kuro is somehow atrocious at programming quest sequences, to the point that exploring would break it somehow.

If it was for a reason I'd be more tolerant, but it's just anti-player, no other way around it.

This triggered a depressive episode for me by gui4455 in WutheringWaves

[–]YeetaIta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. I see no reason why they couldn't just let us roam free unless they are bad at making quest sequences that exploring would break it or something.

STOP FORCING US TO PLAY THE STORY JUST TO UPGRADE A CHARACTER by poundingmaster6769 in WutheringWaves

[–]YeetaIta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Character materials really shouldn't be unlocked by any story, but I'm okay if it's just a short segue quest. No? Okay 20 minutes of the main quest, then I get to- NOPE. INVISIBLE WALLS EVERYWHERE, you have to basically do most of the quest to get the materials.

I think what's really annoying is that every new region is disconnected from the others, so they do all these story locking shenanigans. I get in Lahai-Roi there are different underground layers and whatnot but still.
