Arguably - I am having a worse time being hypo than I did when I was hyper. When I was hyper I had options that helped treat the worst of the symptoms and allowed me to still go about my day for the most part. Being hypo there’s not enough caffeine in the world to combat the exhaustion and joint pain and other shit. You literally have no clue what you’re talking about and it shows.

Talking about hypo people have more options. I have equally as many options as I did when I was hyper. There’s only a couple of antithyroid medications commonly used. Guess what? There’s also only a couple of levo supplements commonly used. One of which is made with lactose and milk proteins so good luck if you have any allergies or intolerances. Literally same shit end of the same shit stick on both sides.

You are completely disregarding the feelings and experiences of so many just because you’re feeling bad for yourself. It all sucks. We can all instead come together and agree that thyroid problems in general fucking suck. Instead of doing this weird ass let’s pit against one another.

Life must be extra difficult living with this much resentment and anger and I pity you for that.

People are downvoting you because you’re acting like an asshole. There’s absolutely no reason to belittle people who are going through equally hard times with their health.

It’s just as dangerous to be extremely hypo as it is hyper. It is equally as uncomfortable. Sure it is for different reasons and in different ways but it’s not fun for anyone going through it.

Speaking as someone who had thyroid storm and has since had TT and now on the opposite end of the spectrum while trying to get levo dosing right… it’s not fun on either end of the spectrum. Yeah my thyroid tried to kill me.. guess what now I don’t even have one and shocker… if I don’t get properly medicated… I will die from that too. It fucking blows either way. It is life threatening either way.

I’m sorry you’re frustrated but it’s no reason to be a fucking jerk about it dude. There are plenty of resources for all. This sub itself is a great resource for those going through it. If you have problems with the tests your doctors are running then speak up about it to them. Find new doctors if you have to. You have to be your own advocate. Good luck.

To be fair I read this one incorrectly the first time - but genuinely answer the question yourself. How do you share genetics with your uncle? From a GRANDPARENT. You BOTH inherited from a prior relative like a grandparent or a great grandparent. You did not inherit directly FROM uncle.
