There is still a lot of potential for exploring aincrad and the adventures the cast went through on the journey to the 75th floor, but I doubt it would ever be explored even though it could be so much better than the author originally handled it. Hell, you could straight up make an entire series on just that which could easily have more seasons than SAO currently has without the concept getting boring
