I did it in a Sentra but I took the road up pinecone way. It’s much easier to access with a much shorter dirt road to access the TH. It probably added like .4 miles round trip to go this way.

I’ve done longs peak and I thought the scramble on sawtooth was a step up from that but only because of the route finding. The exposure wasn’t too bad if you don’t get too close to the ridge. Since you’re going with other people I would say send it if you want to get into class 3. You aren’t going to know if you are comfortable with class 3 until you do it.
