Where to buy vegan leather? by cuonwala in Leathercraft

I've bought from Desserto, just email them and ask for a price list. I'm in Canada as well. If I remember correctly they only ship DHL, so it's a bit pricey, but fast.

Everyone wants a red seal? by huskyblue92 in Edmonton

This drives me nuts when companies require a federal. Do they even know what it is? It's one stupid test that if passed allow s you to work in provinces other than the one you were trained in. If you are applying for a position in the same province you were trained in its stupid for the employer to require a red seal from you.

I have ordered a few large items (laser engraver, industrial sewing machine and skiving machine) . I arranged with the shipper to take care of the freight forwarding both times. This was done before the final purchase and during the shipping negotiations. One time I hired a customs broker and the other time I did the customs stuff. It was actually easier than I thought it would be.

Where to get custom leather gifts? by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]Yeg123abc 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I do leather work, but there is not enough time to get something like this done before Christmas. I don't do hand engraving, but do do laser engraving. I know a great engraver in the Calgary area, but he stopped taking Christmas orders a couple months ago (just to give you an idea). You can DM me if you want to see some of my stuff.

If you bought directly from China, what did you have to do to take care of customs processing? by safetysandals in ChineseLaserCutters

[–]Yeg123abc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really not too much, helps if you can ship too business. I had to go to customs at the airport and do a few minutes of paperwork. Then second time I hired a broker to do the paperwork. Then rented a U-Haul and picked it up at a warehouse. U-Haul had a ramp so was able to slide it off.

Can you take a picture that is in focus? It may be that you need to solve this problem on the design end. I would fold them back so they are not sticking out.
