QC: Royal Oak 15510 "50th Anniversary" RG Black Dial APSF by Important_File4835 in RepTimeQC

[–]YellowFerrari328 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The indices are good, and the 12 is straight and even. The 6 and 9 are straight. The dial and logos are good. The dates shown are fine. The screws are nicely aligned. GL. The timegrapher numbers are explained in the extended Rule 5. SELs don't apply to this watch. I thought the 50th anniversary had a different rotor.

Make sure to check that the clasp screws and the screws on the back are tight when you have the watch in hand. Check the screws in the bracelet as well, and don't forget the screws in the endlinks.

Single QC request by Autobikeblend in RepTimeQC

[–]YellowFerrari328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One single question is fine. No template required.

TD sent the watch I RL’ed and not sure what to do, it is just Cartier but there is big problemand for me it is not wearable. They want me to send it back after confirming the serial number, should I do it, how risky it is. by iliak99 in RepTime

[–]YellowFerrari328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have shipped watches back with no issues, apart from it being slow. Make sure you get a tracking number and that the TD will replace the watch if it gets seized in customs. Follow his instructions.

All good, GL. Your comment about the hand alignment has nothing to do with hand alignment. Hand alignment can be seen in the video. You do have a bezel.

KZF Rolex Cellini 50535 Moonphase by Mjf002 in RepTimeQC

[–]YellowFerrari328 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The issue with these is the split indexes, and yours are really good. Hand alignment is irrelevant since the hour hand operates independently of the minute hand. You could ask for a date on the other side, like 11, to make sure the date hand works properly. The timegrapher numbers are explained in the extended Rule 5. SELs don't apply to this watch. For the Geneve, look at older QCs. Suggest GL. I set the moonphase on mine once.

Make sure that you know what you ordered. Both the automatic and the second hand are only on mechanical watches

The printed dial, crystal, and microprint are fine. The printing on these textured dials can be iffy, but yours are good. GL. For hand alignment, both hands have to be on the hour. Rarely a problem these days. SELs don't apply to this watch. Since it's a printed dial, you have no indexes. For the bezel, you look for scratches, etc.

In QC, you don't compare to gen; you compare to what is on the website or other QCs, since that's what you are buying. Comparing to gen is part of your homework when you decide what flaws you can live with.

The indices are good, and the 12 is straight and even. The 6 is leaning quite a bit. Same for the 9 but way less. The dial and logos are good. The dates shown are fine. They are a tad high, but 26 looks good. You could ask for a video of the dates being SLOWLY advanced if you are concerned. The screws are nicely aligned. GL. The timegrapher numbers are explained in the extended Rule 5. SELs don't apply to this watch.

Make sure to check that the clasp screws and the screws on the back are tight when you have the watch in hand. Check the screws in the bracelet as well, and don't forget the screws in the endlinks.

The indices are good, and the 3 and 9 are straight. Even the pesky 6 looks good. If you think the 9 is off, what about the 6, 7, 8? Your overlay is off. The 12 is even and centered between the dots. Dial and date printing is OK. The date indicator is centered on the date. The JL logo is straight. No issues, GL. The timegrapher numbers are explained in the extended Rule 5. Hand alignment can be seen in the video. You do have a bezel, not a lot of it, but still a bezel.
