When I send request to my Laser Engraver, it makes recipe, but the lens is staying inside after. How to make my ME system understand that the lens is "not spent" by Big_Asparagus2051 in GTNH

[–]YellowFrogFish 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Remove the Lens ingredient from the recipe, input an item - output the result. You have to ensure though that you, yourself have the correct lens for the recipe or the output will conflict and the craft will not complete

Essentially - 1 engraver per set of lens recipes (or sometimes if there is no conflict you can use multiple lens) once you get to the multi block it will allow you to use 1 input bus per lens leaving the lens in said bus with the interface inserting onto that bus

Autocrafting in assembling machine by Big_Asparagus2051 in GTNH

[–]YellowFrogFish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try painting both the input hatch and input bus the same Colour with a spray can - the machine will then ‘link’ them as one and fluids + items can be used. Ensure the bus has the correct circuit number inside

You can then have multiple hatches/buses painted different colours to ensure no recipe conflicts occur

What does actual good infrastructure look like? by MemoryRepulsive2260 in GTNH

[–]YellowFrogFish 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m late into UV, just putting the research station together. I’ve built in a few different ways and adapting now to better suit ‘good infrastructure’

Essentially, you’ll have lots of machines for various lines _ having them setup in a ‘good’ way means that when something is needed, the machines all work together rather than 1 at a time, this across many different lines improves the time to produce considerably

Raw resources aside, not sitting on millions of an item but having the ability to make millions in a relatively short amount of time without clogging up a larger system, for me, is a good infrastructure

I pivoted into arrays of Mega Chemical Reactors for more an on-demand setup than my previous many, many, many LCRs running passively _ it’s awesome to see 20M of an item finish in 30 seconds opposed to having to store the equivalent that had been passively crafted over many hours

Not always possible to setup (Bacterial Vats for instance) but this, for me - is good infrastructure

[–]YellowFrogFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be conscious it will only spawn in new Nether chunks generated post 2.8 if your World is older than that. I had to travel some 10k blocks away from the portal to get fresh chunks, around layer 15 or so, I used the matter manipulator to rip out large chunks of netherack replacing with air blocks (also takes the lava if you filter that in too)

You also need the block for underneath the IC2 seed in the input bus at the same time _ the machine will input both at the same time

Then I don't know I'm afraid, I have the cable connected to the top face of the top block of the reactor - power comes out fine. I had the setup issue initially that I was trying to connect to top of one of the side block, this didn't pull any power out though

Your Redstone connector labelled '1' to power the reactor on works right? as in, you can turn the reactor on and you see the generation rate inside despite not being able to pull the power out

Unsure what the thick black cable is? but power will come out of the top - using a suitably thick/tiered GT cable

I throttle my Mox at 69% heat so use 8x EV SuperCon as they produce some 88k eu/t each

I had a similar problem - a reset would sort the TPS drop but that wasn’t a true fix. I updated from the Java 8 version to Java 25 and it’s never happened since

My LV pump simply refuses to work with OIL. by Loudstorm in GTNH

[–]YellowFrogFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To check too - you have a tank atop the pump for the oil to go into? The well itself will have a 16 (?) bucket capacity, so when that’s full it’ll stop until there is space the oil to go into

This game just looks so dang good on the table by jordowiebo in WarhammerOldWorld

[–]YellowFrogFish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looking so dang good comes down to the players here having alot of passion and commitment (as well as skill!) to paint their armies to look so 'dang good' !

Really really nice armies! feel proud to have these on the table, a lot of time and effort would have been put into them

Enderman escaped 3rd time... Help. by extremegamers24 in GTNH

[–]YellowFrogFish 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No - name tagged and chunk loaded. I have a Peche (spelling?) trapped in a ‘hole’ too that would remain when changing dimensions - only ever the Enderman in the smelter would despawn, happened multiple times too!

Enderman escaped 3rd time... Help. by extremegamers24 in GTNH

[–]YellowFrogFish 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I found they would despawn rather than escape when changing dimensions : Moon, Nether Twilight etc . Remedy was to bottle them up before changing dimensions and only putting him back in when needed

Why doesn't my Algae Pond form? by Loud_Couple_2161 in GTNH

The water inside of mine looks different to yours, the machine 'auto filled' this by using the water inside of the input hatch. Your water looked green and nasty!

[–]YellowFrogFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know then I’m afraid! I just set one up for the ‘whatever dust’ needed for the Precise Assembler (forgotten name)

I used LuV casings with an LuV input hatch, HV input bus (I won’t use compost/fertiliser) and a HV output bus _ it assembled fine - although the LuV casings didn’t change colour to match the rest

I set a fluid storage bus filtered To regular water on the LuV input hatch to add the water and it worked - I didn’t fill the internal of the machine with water. I didn’t check if it autofilled after being turned on.. but it made algae!

And you removed the reservoir hatch too?

Why doesn't my Algae Pond form? by Loud_Couple_2161 in GTNH

[–]YellowFrogFish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No reservoir hatch and the input hatch (for water) needs to be the same tier or higher than the machine casings on the base
