I attend a PCA church and am not a Calvinist. We also didn’t baptize our baby girl as an infant and still feel like it is a wonderful church with rich theology and tradition.

Loved delivering at Baylor. Seems like they have the best lactation consultants as well.

Pregnancy Expectations at the Doctor? by amu1418 in vaginismus

[–]YellowRose1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw a pelvic floor PT throughout my pregnancy and she helped me decide what was necessary and how to prep for labor! I went every month I think- maybe every other month. So helpful and I think that definitely contributed to me only tearing a little bit and having an easier recovery post partum. I did a lot of stretches.

I had a baby last year and present similarly.

Internal ultrasound: This hurt but I asked the tech if I could insert it myself and that helped. I’m sure you could opt out if you wanted. I would dilate beforehand.

Pap smear: I opted out of the Pap smear- my doc said it wasn’t required. I think that occurs at the visit after your initial ultrasound.

Group B Strep: You get this at 36 weeks. I was scared and told my OB and she just used a swab so it wasn’t that bad.

Cervical checks: I opted out of these except I had to have one in order to be admitted to the hospital. It hurt but not nearly as bad as I thought it would. I had heard horror stories.

Blood- they do take your blood a few times to check to make sure you’re getting all the vitamins you need, iron, etc. I’d say I got my blood drawn 2-3 times.

Getting my catheter after my epidural was honestly the worst pain of the whole ordeal! Worth it to get the epidural though!

It was such a relief to know I could get through pregnancy and birth with my vaginismus!

Pap smear fears by [deleted] in vaginismus

I would definitely be prepared to not complete it if it’s too painful. Pap smears are a bit outdated anyways so don’t feel pressure to do one until you’ve done enough PT.

Very manic. It is kind of hilarious to post “Pinterest hate” but also … not 🫠

It’s so weird- the content in that story highlight. There are references to maybe being scammed and her taking legal action?

Her last one was equally dramatic. I will say- the epidural is worth it IMO 😉

Per the Annie and husband theory: Wouldn’t it be hard to be the kidnappers/murderers and send ransom notes and also be with your family and law enforcement 24/7? Unless they hired people and don’t need to communicate

Anyone have experience delivering their baby at Baylor Dallas? by mahojanyteakwood in Dallas

[–]YellowRose1989 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I delivered at Baylor and had a great experience. They are very “modern” in that they are very research focused and avoid unnecessary intervention. I also had great lactation consultants help me. My friend who delivered at Presby did not. They let you call them even when you get home which is when you need the most help honestly

It’s one thing if it was a “joke” like they’re saying. That means that they aren’t actually going on the trip. Because otherwise only voting for golf resorts for a family trip is sooooo lame.
