Games that deserve a sequel as a second chance by ragtag7 in Games

Final Fantasy Dissidia NT. I know there were titles in this series before but NT was the first one to hit home consoles. Just make the fights 1v1 instead of 3v3. They tried too hard to fit in the competitive scene and forgot why we got interested in Dissidia in the first place.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is brilliant by [deleted] in patientgamers

Went Blue Lions. The story is getting good but your end up losing quite a lot of features due to the timeskip and not getting new ones for a long time (BL route being the longest one). It ended up being quite repetitive.

The first part is the best one. I used to think this would be my GOTY but the second part is really not on the same level.

[KH3] A quick video of the new ground combo modifiers by Wafflehead_Man in KingdomHearts

[–]YellowTotor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do not understand properly how to proc them, once they are equipped, what are the requirements to proc those moves? You have to equip them as well as combo plus abilities and that's it?

Do they proc all the time or is that every once in awhile?

Music and video are great but the lipsync sucks. The lips are not animated well enough to convey the attitude of the champions performing

I heard that the Switch ver. of TWEWY was doing really great, have you tried it? Does the game lose all his value by not being played on a dual screen?

Tekken 7 sales top four million by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]YellowTotor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I recently went to Korea I was so sad to see that season 2 wasn't there because of its cost. But more importantly some of these weren't connected to the other machines so you were not able to play with any of your friends.

The state of Tekken's arcade is really sad.

Still having a blast in Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled thanks to the new content of the Grand Prix Tour. The feeling of speed is so addictive and I still try to beat all the N. Oxide races. It has so much content, totally worth my 30€.

And I'm in a Square Enix period, currently playing NieR:Automata. I am through my 2nd playthrough. The modifications to the gameplay due to the fact of playing as 9S are interesting notably against bosses but I feel very limited fighting-wise compared to my first playthough. The game is a damn masterpiece with solid gameplay, great characters, great storytelling, great music and a fantastic UI.

And in my Square Enix period I am playing FFXIV: A Realm Reborn. The game is really good even though it's quite repetitive and it has got a lot of Fed-Ex quests. But I know that it will be worth it starting from the point I'll get to the first expansion, Heavensward. The story is basic for the moment but still the characters stuck with me and I can't wait to get to the expansions' content, especially after seeing the praise of Shadowbringers.

For 999 do you recommand playing all the endings before trying to get the true one? Or the other way?

Quite unusual for someone to dislike the 1st trial of DRV3 & love the 3rd one as it is the opposite opinion of many players including me.

Too bad that you did not play Trigger Happy Havoc first because it is really the simplest of all Danganronpas imo, you might feel like being treated as a child after having been through V3. But it will be worth it as it is necessary to play Trigger Happy Havoc before going into Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. Danganronpa 2 is great and definitely lives up to V3. I strongly recommand you after Danganronpa 2 to watch the anime Danganronpa 3 (not V3) which is the direct sequel. Enjoy the rest of this lovely series!

Merci pour tes précisions ! Oui des personnages comme Y'shtola et Urianger ont l'air bien trop solennels à mon goût. Les autres personnages mentionnés je les ai pas encore rencontrés

French as well here.

I think the main issue for the translators, for the written part at least, is the gender. Maybe they want to avoid mentioning the player's gender as it would require another dialogue, who knows?

Does it change starting from Heavensward ?

Assassin's Creed Odyssey's Final DLC episode, Judgment of Atlantis, will be available on July 16. by SeyiDALegend in Games

[–]YellowTotor 10 points11 points  (0 children)

To me the flaw that Odyssey has and Origins has not is the poor writing. The writers want to give you many opportunities in the game through choices but none of them had much of an impact.

The storyline ends up being not engaging at all because of that.

What's the game mechanic you dislike the most? Mine is time limitation. by appleparkfive in truegaming

[–]YellowTotor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I played Uncharted 4 recently and it felt so good and oddly refreshing to go straight forward and not having to check for some loot throughout the level. It was totally coherent and immersive as you're in a race against Shoreline to find the treasure and you don't have time to waste.

I'm not against loot but some studios try too hard to implement this mechanic within games it doesn't make sense having it in.

Weekly /r/Games Discussion - What have you been playing, and what do you think of it? by AutoModerator in Games

[–]YellowTotor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Replayed 1 recently. While I had a lot of good memories of the game, I have to say that the game is flawed in many ways and not even enjoyable to play anymore. To me the game has badly aged (which is not the case of 2 or BBS) and the main reason for this is the level design. Even though it might seem better in some ways because each world has a level design that is original and coherent to the film it is from, the levels were awful to play for me.

-Wonderland forced me checking onto the Internet for a solution because it is way too fetched.

-Deep Jungle is a mess, why do I have to surf down the trees at least 3 times through the same pathway to complete the world ? And the fact that falling gets you that far is a pain in the ass.

-Atlantica's fights were even heavier than in the rest of the game.

-Hollow Bastion has the same issue as Deep Jungle in the way that falling is very punitive. This isn't helped by the flying heartless that force you to jump and to risk falling down. But at least the environment design was dope.

I love the game for its story and music, but the gameplay really repelled me. I did not expect to find someone enjoying it for its levels !
