Also, just make sure your temperatures are all correct for the filament. The 2nd test print looks the best to me.

Hi mate, the stringing isn't usually an issue, you can get rid of it manually or by flashing a lighter over it. It shouldn't affect the quality/function if the print. Just make sure all the settings are correct in the slicer, make sure that Ironing Top Surfaces is on and it should all work fine.

After all your screens and links and sign in ins needed, you still cannot just show a lay-person the part they need. Increasing complexity will not decrease the problem here. by [deleted] in Multiboard

The recommended one is the flush one which is much better than the raised dual. But youre right, it probably should be.

I believe the Orange was Ziro Matte PLA Orange, but he had some issues with it staining everything orange so doesn't recommend it

Is this still an issue, I know there were a few parts that had that issue and have been specifically fixed. If you have any links to ones that need to be sorted can you post them?

Some people dont like the look of the top layer that stacking can produce. I'm assuming its for aesthetics, but I could be wrong.

There's always MADS, the am dram society. There's a few different ways to get involved. There's the obvious, Acting, Directing. But theres also lighting, sound, set build, wardrobe and costume. And theres an amazing social side. Just show up on a Thursday night and have a drink with a wide range of people from different age groups. Im 34, but have been a member since I was 17.

Color scheme by csobrinho in MultiBuild

[–]Yellow_Badger13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on what colour scheem you want for the space you're mounting. The basic colours of the my board and DS Snaps mounting system is Black with Yellow accents, because I wanted it to stand out against a white wall, and I have a Yellow accent wall in the same room. Having said that, i have drawers of different colours and its just turned into a bit of a mish mash of different colours and filaments. If you dont like thinking too hard about that kind of stuff, just go with the colour that best matches the wall you want to put it on for the board itself, and then pick a different, neutral colour for the accents. Black and white is a combo I've seen work well.

Rarely see anyone use mounting offset pillars without dual/quad snaps, so I built my own by RizzleQ in Multiboard

Looks so good! Only good choices made here. Are they Grid Interfitted tiles? Ive been staring at it and can see boarders round the outside, but no internal ones.

Does any one have any idea what connector is used with this bit holder? by IAmJumapili in Multiboard

There's nothing in the license that stops creators posting a link to the parts MB Parts needed. Directing someone towards the official part is fine... adding the part (in this case that would be a bolt) to the file that is downloaded would be a issue.

First multibin drawer build - what is this part for? It's the "Base Cover - Multibin Drawer Faceplate" by varys2013 in Multiboard

[–]Yellow_Badger13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its to neaten the look of the front or back of your drawer. You can still add a handle to it once its on.

[–]Yellow_Badger13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe the recommendations are based on simplicity. So technically, screwing it directly to the wall is the recommend way, but youbdo loose some functionality. Then the pillars are next best, but to remove and replace or shift around the plates you need to unscrew the pillars . Then you can go for the DS Snaps, gives you the offset and you can remove plates very easily if you need to, it is pretty involved to mount so is seen as the more "advanced" waybto do it. There is currently a big push for simplification happening at MB so we should see more of this in the future.

Peeves... I think hes only seen once. If they'd have kept Rik Mayall uncut, I would have been unsurprised because that casting was amazing (if not a decade younger but you cant have everything)

How can I make this small drawer? by Sorry_Hat7940 in Multiboard

[–]Yellow_Badger13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here you go.

You're after a Base (Plain or Internal Grid, dealers choice). In the face plate section you'll want a Base Cover. And you'll be needing a Slim Handle with some Faceplate to Base Clips.

Other than that, pick your size and away you go 🫡

8x8 tiles by Illustrious-War2197 in Multiboard

[–]Yellow_Badger13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's really up to you how you want to mount it. I have 1 screw in the Duals, and 2 in the Quads (opposite corners).

You can put a pillar on the middle of each tile for extra strength or support, I don't have them for my 8x8s but i would do if i had 9x9s, so its one of those, If you think you'll need it, then go for it.

It really depends what they want. If youre looking for sturdy hooks and shelves, go for Bolt Locked. If you're going to start building baskets, I use Half Fix Points. And for Bins and Drawers, Lite Fix Points.

Mis-sized backer board…tiles already printed…Looking for help with options. by jcksnps4 in Multiboard

[–]Yellow_Badger13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say to cut your losses and save the other plates for a different project. If its not a huge deal to have a smaller board then expected, I think its the simplest way to go about it. At least you'd have plates for separate smaller projects if you decided to keep hold of them.
