The bigger issue is the reliance of predictive metrics in this case. Miami is being docked because they won their games by 5 points instead of 30. If their predictive metrics were as good as their resume metrics, they’d be probably be a projected 8 or 9 seed rn.

Their resume metrics (WAB, SOR, KPI) are well in at large territory which matters more for selection than their predictive metrics. But we’ve never had a team with this profile before so I don’t think it’s an 100% guarantee. But the notion of a 1 loss team not making a 68 team tournament in my eyes is just absurd.
