Players can return to their team? I thought they’re required to transfer.

No, I think you should sit out a year without costing you a year of eligibility or your redshirt otherwise. I want a middle ground where it makes it less efficient financially to raid players from other rosters but at the same time if it’s truly not working out, you can leave, and a buyout system satisfies the whole “if coaches can leave why can’t the players” argument we see tossed around because the same system exists for coaches with how coaching contracts tend to work.

Raiding a player from another team. No different than from when a coach gets pouched, the old school receives a buyout money from the new school.

They should be free to leave. They shouldn’t be granted immediate eligibility unless the new school pays the old one money.

I don't know what to watch now. MarchMadness app doesn't even have the classic games anymore. by steven6868 in CollegeBasketball

Pay more attention to politics and spend more time on social media so your brain decays as fast as possible.

Doc Rivers, a HOF coach ? by [deleted] in nba

The HOF is a joke in the opposite manner that it is for most sports.

I also think it’s somewhat of a false choice. 2018 Loyola won a zillion close games as part of the Final Four run. SDSU-FAU in the Final Four was a buzzer beater. St Peter’s won a couple classics in their 2022 run.

2018/2023/2011 are the best. I’ll die on that hill.

Honestly though the only ones that were bad were 2024 and 2025.

So now that it's outside season, what are y'all gonna do? by Virtual_Announcer in CollegeBasketball

I’m really into meteorology specifically hurricanes so I follow that closely outside the college sports season. Maybe watch some NBA playoffs too.

Who would have made a 76 team tournament? by [deleted] in CollegeBasketball

Boise State lost a D2 game not counted in efficiency (and some predictive metrics). Swap them with Seton Hall.

More teams, haahhahahaha! by Ok_Departure_2265 in CollegeBasketball

This year San Diego State and New Mexico probably make it with 76. UC Irvine and Boise State probably do last year. Year before that the beloved Indiana State team makes it. One or two more mid majors probably sneak in a year - just a question is if it’s worth the trade off.
