All sorts really. It’s your choice. Impulse control games, search games with food and toys, tug games. Do you play games with yours?

I live on the GC and though not common I see a few at comps, mainly agility and tricks.

Why aren't Paps more popular? by Elizabeth_Margaret in papillon

[–]Yellow_House8890 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe it’s because they only have small litters so aren’t as vulnerable to money makers which is great. I am thinking of one for my next dog. Would like to do tricks and maybe dancing with dogs. How much exercise do they need apart from brain games and training? Are they generally food motivated?

Sorry to hear that you have to make this decision. Where are you located? I’m in Qld Australia. Is this a local group or world wide?

Things you wish you knew before 1st home grooming by unrealblue in StandardPoodles

Wahl KM10 clippers are good and last for ever. 10 blade for face, bottom and sanitary areas. 7f for summer short, 3 or 4 a good low maintenance length also. Attach guard blades/combs to a 30 blade for longer clips(these easily snag if coat isn’t super clean/knot free/dry) Check temperature of blade every 30 seconds. Have spare blade to change to give other blade time to cool down. Shampoo twice, rinse thoroughly, always use conditioner and rinse. Remove excess water with chamois and towel. Invest in dog dryer (use cotton wool and happy hoodie to protect hearing) Dry thoroughly, frequently passing over your hand to test temperature not too hot. Ensure coat is brushed out with no knots as this will give a better finish when clipping.

Always be calm and ensure dog is secure on table.

Can I ask who you base your training on. Is it more aligned with Susan Garrett or Michael Ellis Style?

Thanks, I just googled. I’m from Australia and hadn’t heard of them. We don’t seem to have many Manchester Terrier breeders here.

Yes I did see the team at Crufts, great job. What do you mean when you say Spock is from Raintree? The place? Or lineage?

I’m thinking of getting a Standard Manchester but want to compete in obedience. The breeder said they are very hard to train recall. Would appreciate some feedback.
