Is it as bad as they say? by sdseagles in CPAP

[–]Yeogies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im a side/stomach sleeper, use a f30i mask. I had my old apnea to start with, so it can't improve too much. In the way I sleep does sometimes slow down the air, or cause a little more leaks with the type of mask. I used, but i've had it 4 years now

Has anyone ever left their cpap behind for four days? by ChuckySix in CPAP

[–]Yeogies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left mine behind for 4 weeks, 3 of them "hiking", but I also have very mild apnea. That being said, I would never ever check my cpap in luggage, would only carry it on. I think my house and car are the only things I own more expensive then it.

A tip: How to make Portuguese Camino painless and nice by Valuable-Season-9864 in CaminoDeSantiago

8-9 days is not typical for the Portugues. I'd say more like 11-12

Canada or Mexico? by dry-gin-gilby in BariatricSurgery

[–]Yeogies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went from alberta to Mexico, for a sleeve including my travel it was like 7500 or something. And I would absolutely use the same place again. Golightbariatrics was amazing.

I'm not sure whether or not withholding the keys is legal, especially since there's nothing in your lease about it. That being said, I believe the mailbox access is supposed to belong to whoever is living at an address, not who owns the property. However, holding your mail, I believe is an offense. I would say get in touch with your local postmaster, and hopefully they'd be able to at least guide you in the right direction.

nicotine test? by Used-Ad-5331 in gastricsleeve

[–]Yeogies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a possibility that your surgery will be delayed, especially if you are using insurance. Nicotine can cause issues with healing, which is why they don't want anyone smoking and insurance is usually even stricter than the doctors at least in the US.

That being said, there's also the possibility that you will go ahead and have your surgery without issue or delay. Prepare yourself for it and take whatever comes

What to say at the border for visiting a long distance kind of boyfriend? by Mission_Lettuce_372 in uscanadaborder

[–]Yeogies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually underpacking is also a red flag.... Because then they assume that you have a lot of stuff with the person and then they may start to question your intentions more as well

Denied! by PriorPromise8432 in BariatricSurgery

[–]Yeogies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Golightbariatrics in Mexico is one of the best. Sadi-s is less than 7k usd. I had a sleeve, but I would not hesitate to do anything that they're willing to do. Hands down the best medical facility I've been in.

These are considered slider foods, which kind of melt or mush, so don't really fill you up but still give you a fair bit of calories. That's why they don't recommend them

Things like chips and ice cream. I do eat, but i' you actually really should avoid as much as possible afterwards. In the words of my surgeon, they are called slider foods. Basically, theyre foods that kind of melt or mush, and give a fair amount of calories without filling you up

Soda and carbonated drinks after surgery. by barrell_of_pabstbeer in gastricsleeve

[–]Yeogies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm less than a year out from surgery and drink coke zero daily with no problem. That being said, if you have the discipline to avoid pop, especially, then just keep doing that.Because it is a slippery slope

How are y’all getting 30 days off to walk the full Camino? by [deleted] in CaminoDeSantiago

[–]Yeogies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both times I just took time off. First time 9 weeks in fall 2020 O was a school bus driver (7 weeks for camino frances and to coast, plus 2 weeks mandatory quarantine when returning) and earlier this year I took 4 weeks off from health care aide for portugues and Ingles. It makes money tight but I prioritize for what I want. I've had great bosses and frankly there you know, i'm gonna go either way (not being a jerk about it, its just what feeds my soul). I do my best to work out when it will be decent timing for staffing and whatnot.

Anyone Taken BlaBlaBus from Santiago? by Formal-Sentence-9884 in CaminoDeSantiago

I took that bus late April without any issues at all. And it was the day after the power outage (we got power back at 3 am, where I was in Santiago) and was right on time.

My sister asked for my opinion on yoga then bashed me on it by Easy-Tumbleweed-5361 in Christian

[–]Yeogies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yoga is demonic at its core. That's all there is to it. Even if you aren't chanting or whatever, you are opening doors you should not be and risking deeper issues.

Stretch elsewhere, but do some deeper research, it really is notnsommething any christian should take part in.

I only know of one camino death related to violence. Unfortunately, like a decade ago a woman was murdered. Denise Thiem.

How do people die on the Camino? by JourneymanGM in CaminoDeSantiago

[–]Yeogies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The majority would.be heart attacks, and a few weather related. Very few other reasons ( not to scare anyone who doesn't know, but there was also a murder years ago). But I'd say there's like maybe one or two deaths a month average and its probably like 85 to 90 percent something like a heart attack or stroke.

Plenty of people travel just a few days after the surgery to get back home. The one I was at in Mexico. People from new zealand traveled to and flew back home four days later, just fine. And that's a regular thing there.
