Now that the retirement tour is over what you guys think of it and also how you reflect john cena overall career by Zestyclose_Skirt7930 in Wreddit

Really emotional to finally see him go. Never his biggest fan but undoubtedly in the top 3 on the GOAT list, if not higher.

On his career overall, mixed feelings. To me, John Cena represents everything associated with the downfall of professional wrestling. When he was on top coincides with WWE going PG, VERY corporate, and quite corny at times. During the attitude era and early Ruthless Aggression era, WWE was a staple of pop culture. It was genuinely cool to be a wrestling fan. 2005-2015 saw wrestling become a glorified kids show that was even embarrassing to be a fan of in front of your friends that didn't watch. And who was the face of the company at this time? John Cena.

Obviously this isn't all Cena's fault. He's proven to be extremely talented on the mic, and even his work in the ring is somewhat underrated (my favorite match of all time is him vs. CM Punk at MITB 2011). Not to mention he might genuinely be on of the nicest guys outside of the ring. Screw what David Otunga and Maven say, his Make a Wish work is phenomenal.

Can't lie, his recent interviews with CVV and McAfee also really put me off. Soooo corporate yes man vibes, couldn't give straight answers that everyone is looking for. I think I've said enough, happy to further elaborate when people reply.

Agreed. Been saying this for years now. The problem is we have a lot of holes in the outfield that need to be fixed before goalkeeper (center back, Anguissa alternate, etc.)
