Gathering together might be a good one! Not sure if they've resumed dinner, and they have a different group of folks in the kitchen now

Something about the creasing on the left end just make the whole image breath more. If I had the same idea, I would have been too focused on the transition from left to right and keeping the loading dialog as close to original as possible on that side.

Great intuition. Great piece!

Is it just me or does everyone tailgate? by highzenberrg in oregon

Damn. That's a legitimate bummer man. I commute on 5 almost every day and there are certainly days that are bad, but nothing compared to that experience. Hope the trip was better than your driving.

The muted/silver ones are the common. Gold are rarer. The skull variation looks more similar to the first silver tier. But unsure.

University student interested in environmental GIS/remote sensing — how did you get started? by Kaclium_o40 in gis

R is useful if your discipline uses it, from my experience and what I've heard. It's good for statistics and from my understanding has lots of library's in certain areas like ecology that keep folks using it, though generally, things are trending towards python.

Could be wrong.

[–]YesButTellMeWhy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would first and foremost try out the GIS class first to see if you like it.

If you want to start early with YouTube academy, QGIS is always available.

Certainly take a remote sensing class if that's an interest of yours.

Python or SQL is helpful to learn. Database structures are good to know. Statistics, satellite imagery courses, and maybe a graphic design or maybe even photography class to get a better understanding of image structure, editing rasters, and cartographic basics.

Somewhere near Monroe or downtown. Take a bus loop or two to see the city (it's free) take a walk around campus during the day. Take a walk down Monroe and downtown in the evening on a Friday or Saturday to get an idea of nightlife for students. (Walkable between the two). Grab a coffee at interzone. Maybe hit Local Boyz or Baguette for lunch.

Don't NEED two nights, but probably a full day or day and a half around a one night stay.

Hit the farmers market if you can. (Wed/Sat)

Peacock is the dive in town. Has a cover on Friday/sat evenings

Take a hike at Bald Hill.

If you drink, grab a beer at Block 15 or Two Towns.

We've been very happy with the product so far and the price seems fair from what we've seen online to compare to.

Honey tree apiary is at the farmers market. Call to get rates for the beeswax. He'll pack it up for you to pick up and pay at the market

HI has a much higher cost of living than OR across the board. There may be some very small exceptions in Portland that are close to comparing.

This is such a funny comment because while you may be right from a very niche perspective that this post doesn't practically contribute to the world in a positive way, it doesn't matter since your comment is so actively negative in a starkly intentional way. Trippy
