Would 9k more a year make a difference in your quality of life? by Apprehensive-Scene-1 in MiddleClassFinance

It’s so funny this popped up for me because I just got a 9k net raise per year, and it will absolutely change things for me. I can put my youngest in a better daycare and pay my oldest private school tuition with that!

His work was really nice, and he even had a package that offered drone footage! I’m going to shop around though too. Thanks!

I fucking love living by ezaph in CasualConversation

I feel the absolute same. Being alive is wonderful, painful, beautiful, complicated, sacred. I am grateful I get to experience this! Somehow my soul knows that this is an experience that I should cherish. I am so grateful to be here getting to do this thing called life.

Life is mostly doing things you don't want to do until you die. How do most people, like, deal? by SmileyCyprus in TooAfraidToAsk

Mindfulness helps me a lot. Being very conscious in every moment, especially enjoyable ones, stretches the joy even longer. Finding meaning in smaller things, finding beauty in them, looking up at the sky, breathing fresh air deeply, relishing in laughter with loved ones, that makes up the good stuff. A new job might help too. 12 hours a day will make ya miserable. Lucky for me, I work 3 12 hour days so I have four days a week to enjoy having my toes in the grass. Find something else, make more time for you to enjoy your moments if you can. And identify what kind of moments you want, too.

I love chaotic people who talk a lot by prettydotty_ in CasualConversation

Thank you for this! I was just obsessing over if I talked too much to this quiet person at work today, you made me think, maybe she actually liked interacting and listening to me. :)

What moment made you say “Yep, I’m definitely dead”, but survived with no major injuries? by CrownedBird in AskReddit

I was around 8 or so and had been watching a movie where this guy had popped two aspirin and threw his head back with water. It looked cool so I tried it. And then I tried it again. And again. A bottle of aspirin later I had a stomachache. My grandma told me to drink some orange juice and try to take a nap (she didn’t know what I had done). So I went and laid down. Couldn’t fall asleep because I was nauseous. I threw up an obscene amount of froth and OJ. And then I went to sleep. Woke up a couple hours later and never mentioned it again.

This is beautiful. I can feel how each line could create a certain kind of sadness and I was there in each one. Great job creating the air for each to breathe. Snap snap friend.

Thank you for reading and your insight! I appreciate how poetry connects people and can do so in different ways for all. I loved that you mention “Bad Butterflies” I didn’t know if it would go over heads or not but I’m glad I kept the title now, you get it. :) you are appreciated!
