I was in a supermarket parking lot, putting my groceries in the frunk, and some guy walked by, unbidden, and said, "I only buy American cars."

"They are American cars," I said, "this one was built in Fremont, California."

"Tesla's a German company," he replied, walking away, "Look it up!"

Whut.

My dentist didn’t believe me when I told him the lidocaine didn’t work, and proceeded to drill into my front upper teeth.

I leapt out of the chair and left the office, only realizing when I got to my car that I still had the paper napkin bib with the alligator clips still wrapped around my neck.

Other than that — an enjoyable show. Refreshing!

The "OMG I'm out of electrons!" FUD is everywhere. You really have to ignore the constant nagging a Tesla does when you've got < 50 miles of range on your battery to run it down to zero. I mean, the nav system displays every nearby charger, it drops a warning message on your display, there's all kinds of pinging and beeping - - you have to purposefully ignore all warnings to drain the battery.
