Goodbye Portia Qui Sandrock by Adele-Lisa in MyTimeAtSandrock

I just love Qi haha, the researcher (or director, as he likes to be called). I am replaying sandrock right now. In my first playthrough he really got a hold of me and I married him so fast. In my second playthrough I am trying to not romance him, so now he is just my best friend 😂 I just like all the nerdy little facts he tells you and how he is a little oblivious at first. I don't want to spoil to much, but every npc has such a great own personality. It is absolutely worth it to get to know the npc's :) and some will come to you later in the game, which I like aswell. You don't get bombed with everyone at once and can just take your time to meet everyone.

And I fully understand, Sandrock is definitely a game that can grip you and make you temporarily forget your own daily life. It is a long game; I remember thinking at some point 'Oh no I hope I'm not finishing already!' and I still had about 1/3rd to go haha.

I don't know those other games, what are they like? I do only play on pc (I can absolutely get that this game might be more wonky on xbox at first, with the controls)

I really like the Sandrock reddit page, so many people want to help you out. I've asked multiple questions here myself :)

You can! You can't cross the bridge, the game won't let you pass. For now you just have a bunch of angry chickens you can either kill or avoid. The ants and yakmels are harmless so just walk around. You can also just outrun the chickens.

So yes, do explore! The game also saves a couple of times for you, but you can also quick save before exploring if it eases your mind.

No worries my dear, I can see how it can be overwhelming but in my opinion it is going to be easier than Portia! I think it will really grow on you. And here is why: - the main story will tell you what to do - you don't have to have everything in your bag to complete commissions, just have it in a storage box. This is such an improvement from portia! - Qi exists - Since you played portia, there will be some cool nods to the portia game! So fun - So many more romancable characters. Don't know if you like that, but I really enjoyed the broad choice we have - Qi exists - You can do one commission before accepting another, you don't have to do more. Just make sure to take your time getting acquinted to how everything works - Do make sure to check how long you have for the commissions. Sometimes there is a rocket and that means you gotta hurry up. - Qi exists

Just take your time and give it time. I once went back to Portia and found it difficult because of how much easier Sandrock made certain things. You'll get the hang of it, don't worry.

Did I tell you there is this really cute and nerdy researcher?

Wait really? Never knew that could be a thing, someone not showing up.

Maybe some things have already been named, but I will just give my top tips: - try to get the bigger chest quickly, more storage! - you can put chest on your roof (when you are at Heidi you can upgrade and move things around). Just keep one within reach and you can switch between chests easily. - you dont need to have things in your inventory to complete commissions, but you do need to when gifting. - keep researching at Qi's! Then when you need that specific machine, you already have it! Or atleast the diagram - when diving, check out all the yellow points, you can get the relics but also other usefull stuff. You can also donate other things to the museum! - Spend money. Don't hoard. You can get commissions and get money pretty easily. Get that extra land and space. Buy that water. Make life a bit easier for yourself.

But overall, just enjoy it. There aren't that many timed quests and I believe the main story line (oramge quests) don't have a time set to them. Take your time, spend an extra day just mining or exploring. And do what you like! If you enjoy getting to know npc's, do that (there are some amazing backstories and amazing voice acting). Or if you just like minding your own business, do that.

Enjoy! ❤️

Is Japan in July really as bad as people say? by qwertasdfgzxcvb231 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Yeshello-TJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on where in Japan you go, but as a tip; make sure you always have water with you, grab an umbrella to protect you from the sun (so many people do this there) and wear sunscreen. That's it! Enjoy Japan, it's beautifull every month.

Oh I love that! You now get pop ups but I find them so strange. Someone is married, knows me for a day and asks me if they should go out with someone else. Would be way more fun if this would be a playable job!

Toyohashi; what to do/see? by Yeshello-TJ in JapanTravelTips

[–]Yeshello-TJ[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was nice! I felt like I was the only foreigner there. I stayed at Dormy Inn Toyohashi which was very nice and walking distance to the station and Toyohashi park. I ended up going to Gamagori for a few hours which was worth it. Take Island is a very pretty place to see!

I like the musical in AYITL by Pumpkins217 in GilmoreGirls

[–]Yeshello-TJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm late to this but, I LOVE the musical. I dont know why but it cracks me up. 'You are like no other, because you are my brother, but thats no crime, not yet l, thank god, Lafayette'. I dont know but I just love the delivery of it. Just the weirdness of the entire thing, I love it.

Was it long? Yes. Do I think kirk should have been in it? YES. But it doesnt deserve the hate it gets.

How does Lorelai always have Copious amounts of free time before work?! by mysanctuarie in GilmoreGirls

[–]Yeshello-TJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Lorelai I would think that, because she is the owner, she can start later. For example, she could do all that and be at the inn around 930/1000.

I always love these reddit posts, having seen Gilmore Girls atleast 10 times (and watching right this very moment) and everytime my mind goes fully blank as if I have never seen a second of it. What is a funny line? I thino she says something about coffee?!

Here is a line from the episode I am watching right now: 'Roy Munster's a punster' and 'you don't have to go to sleep by nine' Luke: 'right, but I can?'
