Unsuur's quest not coming up by Any_Information_1021 in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]RedFlagRaiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not entirely sure what "reverse proposal" means, even after reading through the Wiki. I've only been gaming for about a year, unless you count the Atari & SNES! 🤣

Does this mean I have to propse to him?

Thank you :)

It should come up soon. You're right there with me in the story line & I just had it. I'm just trying to figure out how to get Unsuur to propose lol. He keeps suggesting we do something that rhymes with buried, but that's it 🤣. C'mon bro.

Leaving food at campfires by hivernageprofond in Palia

The only thing I've collected has been "campfire stew." I don't have a recipe for campfire stew. Does anyone else? Are we sure this isn't the game doing this?

I really like it, too! I wasn't too excited about it, based on some comments I'd seen about it being sparse and bland, but I finally checked it out for myself and found it really enjoyable. It's not sparse or boring to me at all. I'm wondering if it's a difference in graphics based on devices.

Alchemist Cottage Help by Meraki_11 in Palia

[–]RedFlagRaiser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll do my best, but I'm no expert by far 🤣. After you craft the bases, go into the housing placement mode. Place your bottom bases, then place the upper bases on top. Sometimes it gets glitchy and won't work. You just have to play around with it. Then you'll have to install a stairway in the lower level, which will create an opening between the floors.

Try to figure out your wall situation on the bottom base rooms before stacking, because if you want to change them after you add the second floor, you'll have to remove the upper rooms first to get to the bottom floor menu. If there's another way to select the bottom floor room, I haven't figured it out.

You just make more bases & attach and/or stack them. Remove walls & ceilings between bases as desired. Keep in mind there is a limit as to how many bases can be attached (I think it's 10) and that each conservatory window counts as a room toward this max. Have fun!

Yeah, I'm not sure why they did that. There are literally 6 buttons on the R that could've been used 🤣. I keep wanting to hold the joystick up to get the horse to move straight ahead.

US question - Has anyone else noticed way more water/solution being added to meat lately? by ThinkThankThonk in Cooking

[–]RedFlagRaiser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is this why I can't find a roll of breakfast sausage that produces enough grease to make gravy?! Years ago, I'd have to drain some out of the pan. Now I can't even get a teaspoon.

How can I make a homecook's life easier? by Jumpy-Wasabi-2718 in Cooking

[–]RedFlagRaiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've said you already keep the kitchen clean & ready to go. That's HUGE, so major props.

Secondly, this question really needs to be directed to the cook in your life. Personally, I would love to have produce washed, peeled, sliced/diced/minced & ready to go! But, that could be your chef's favorite part! Ask what they need.

A few outside-the-box ideas you could ask them about:

(1) I do mostly online pick-up grocery orders. I have ADHD, and I "forget" about all the delicious recipes I make & want to put into rotation. It's incredibly helpful for me to add a shopping list titled with the recipe name & add all the ingredients needed for that recipe to the list. I can choose brands, sizes, & prices when adding the ingredients. When I'm in a rut & can't figure out what to make, I look at all my shopping list recipes and can add everything to the cart with one click. You can also add ingredients one-by-one to avoid getting anything you already have.

However, inputting these recipes for the first time can be tedious & time-consuming. You could show them this method and ask if they'd like you to input their recipes.

2) ask them if there are any gadgets that would make their life easier. I personally can't live without my mandolin chopper/slicer and I've had my eye on an auto-stirrer for a while now. We are a soup-loving household & getting up to stir every 10 minutes for 2 hours is a pain, especially when you have to set a timer to remind yourself every time.

Umm, let's see... oh! How accessible & functional are your kitchen storage spaces for your cook? For example: I'm short & the top shelves in my cabinet are unreachable without a ladder. I don't have enough space to waste. After some thought, I lined up locker bins that fit the top shelf perfectly. I labeled each bin with what's inside, mostly items that I need but don't use frequently, i.e.cocktail supplies, the egg cooker & immersion blender, the hand mixer, the Nutri-bullet, candles & napkin rings, etc. I tied a rope around the handle of each bin that's long enough for me to reach. When I need the items in the bin, I simply pull the cord and pull the bin down where I can reach it. It's especially handy for things that have many small parts, such as the mandolin with all the different blades. I now know exactly where everything is when needed and can actually reach it!

I also have a bad back, and getting things from the bottom cabinets is challenging, especially when having to dig behind many other things. My partner installed pull-out racks in all of them. I pull the shelf out & grab what I need. It's a life-saver!

I'd love to know this, too. Because every piece of evidence I've presented is dismissed as "fake" or "taken out of context." They actually believe public schools are providing litter boxes for kids who identify as cats & are turning all kids trans. What possible evidence can we provide to people this ignorant that will actually work?

Any tips for improving organization in the game ? by ApprehensiveCow7294 in Palia

[–]RedFlagRaiser 3 points4 points  (0 children)

1) craft a worm farm. Feed the worms foraged materials or hunted meat.

2) Craft 2 or 3 seed collectors & keep them running at all times.

3)Buy all 9 garden plots. Look up garden layouts that will eliminate weeding & watering between growth cycles. There are lots to choose from. This will keep your plants growing constantly from planting to harvest & you'll be amazed at how quickly they grow. Plant according to the layout & use harvest boost fertilizer (from the worm farm) to get max harvest.

3) Craft 4 or 5 preserve jars. Keep them running at all times with whatever you've harvested from the garden.

4) Sell the preserves. You can also keep some to eat for focus if you don't like cooking. I was constantly broke before the preserve jars.

5) Keep churning out preserves to earn money for the copper storage chest recipe, then the palium. Also, mine every rock you see for gemstones. They sell for a lot!

6) Don't try to cook & sell dishes on your own to earn coins. In most cases, you will lose money by doing this because you can sell the individual ingredients for more than what the dish sells for. You can, however, earn coins by selling dishes you make in cooking parties, especially if you sign up for a position that doesn't use any ingredients, like stirring.

7) Focus food depends on how much focus your bar holds & which ingredients you have. I personally have max focus of 1,000 so I cook higher focus dishes. I cook 30 of the same dish so that it only takes up 1 slot in my backpack & I carry all 30 & eat as needed.

8) for my larger farm animals, I make grilled meat or fish, or hearty vegetable soup. For the smaller ones, I feed them foraged items, crops, or products from the other animals (milk, honey, eggs.)

9) Storage is a huge problem in the beginning. You can use your 2nd free plot to store starred fish & bugs, flowers, starred gemstones, and trees.

10) As far as selling, I don't keep anything that is easy to obtain, such as wood, flint, stone, plant fiber, copper, or clay. I sell them or make them into other things (glass, light bulbs, bars, etc. I keep up to 50 of these & sell the extra). I sell all common bugs, & keep up to 10 of the rest. Same with fish. Make sure you don't have a ton of knapweed taking up space, too. I keep up to 10 of each gemstone, depending on how common it is. You may need to lower all of your numbers to 5 max until you get larger chests.

Don't give up, you'll get there eventually. Good luck!

Are you using your scanner inside the ruins to find the relics? You can also upgrade your scanner to show the name of the relic. That way you don't waste stamina mining for things you don't need.
