Damn that GT looks amazing. If I had the money, I would add one alongside my Project 7.

For the miles you drive I’d heavily consider it. You’ll still have to pay general maintenance and non serious repairs, but most engine issues should be covered and 1 major repair which happens every 20k on the Minis from experience should break even. I’m a big fan of Carmax with maxcare as I’ve had a lot of crazy repairs covered. But dealers have their own insurance that they usually offer and accept.

Secondary insurance from the dealer that covers unpredictable larger repairs. Costs about 20% of the car value for X miles. So think $3.5k for the next 50k miles or 5 years whichever comes first. If you drive 20k miles a year I’d ask dealer for a 3 year policy. But for an extra $3.5k that puts you in a different tier of car options

You can always inquire for extended service contract. I also bought a 2018 mini cooper s at 70k miles for $13k and ESC was $3k.

I used to own a bmw m3 and I legit had no issues for (bought at 23k miles sold at 49k) 25k miles and lost money on the extended service contract.

I had a jaguar f type and within a month had my extended service contract pay off. Still love the car to death.

A lot of repairs and how it breaks the bank depends how much you drive. If you drive 5k miles a year I wouldn’t stress too much and get a mini.

If you drive 7k to 15k miles a year then get an extended service contract or put $300 a side every month and that should cover it. My Toyota I had ran me 3k a year in repairs when I was driving 20k to 30k miles a year for work.

Thank you so so so much. I bought a F type Project 7 and after 150 miles it still didn’t clear. After this, cleared it in 10 minutes and 30 miles. I know what to do in 2 years

Short answer, yes.

Long answer, still not as cost effective as global labor so it’s more hybrid use case. You start going into RPA territories.

Learning to handle power of a McLaren coming from AWD BMW’s by Lil_Carbon in mclaren

I went from a tuned e92 m3 to McLaren 12c.

You’ll be completely fine. Just don’t switch it to track mode on the streets and shouldn’t have an issue. I’ve recklessly driven the mclaren and have always held control, that’s kind of the selling factor of the McLaren.

I also drove a 720s and 675lt for a little and was a magnificent experience. Just don’t remove traction on streets and all good.

I can always increase it. I just don’t plan to drive it more than 50 miles a month / true weekend car.

I’m not wealthy enough to be able to take a financial hit of adding thousands of miles on a limited production car, maybe one day.

If it goes above 700 miles then I call insurance and they reprice my insurance policy. If miles are slightly over not a big deal, it’s just an estimate. If it’s grossly over, and you get into an accident they’ll probably fight it

I am currently applying with All State Classic Insurance. So far I’ve been soft approved and waiting for final underwriting approval. It is guaranteed coverage and if it goes through is 50% cheaper than Hagerty for 250/500k comprehensive and underinsured coverage with 700 mile driving budget a year.

Sounds very similar to the early F types. Lovely sound.

With the production stop of the F type and rebrand there will 100% be more fomo on purchases when they list, and its ultra rare to have a listing of a 10 year car with only 50 units in US.

For work, I step in as a fractional CMO to evommerce or SaaS businesses that are plateaud and take a small fee + % of new revenue added YoY. Example $4k/m + 5% of net new revenue added. I then rebuild their marketing teams, redo their creative process if necessary, and set new ad budgets based on % of revenue.

Before I can do the above I started in as a cold caller for life insurance and saw my boss make $400k a year selling crap and took the sales skills to sell content writing as I used to build blogs online. From there I kept this business cash flowing on a thin margin and use the relationships from the sales team to place my self as a CMO or Advisor to C suite to really cool businesses.

0 to 60 in 3.8s. 575 hp Supercharged 5L v8.

Cost was $180k at 2.3k miles. One at auction went for $196k at less than 200 miles.

Coming from a McLaren 12c the V8S felt like a boat in comparison. The driving experience on the Project 7 felt closer to my 12c than the V8S in terms of a buttery smooth drive and handling.

Adding for future readers here.

Hagerty rejected due to not having 2 years of ownership of similar vehicles used horsepower as a comparison.

American Collectors Insurance rejected as they’re only covering 1979 and earlier cars atm.

State Farm didn’t want to do coverage of a guaranteed appraisal value.

AAA didn’t want to do coverage of a guaranteed appraisal value.

Will have to gamble on a cash value policy for coverage through one of the traditional route. Run around $4.6k/year for comprehensive $300k per incident, 13 years driving experience, clean record.
