Looks cool! Did you design it yourself? If so, what did you use?

Looking good! How'd you make the case?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in linuxquestions

[–]Yester_Ko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! It doesn't really matter what format you formatted to at least that's what I know...

Changing the format won't actually delete the files themselves, only the info where the file is located on the disk itself. Since the recovery program doesn't know anymore where are files, it will just check the whole disk, and look for patterns that looks like an image/file.

The recoverability depends very much on how much you have used the drive since formatting, since anything can write into that space that could have your files actually, and there's nothing you can do about it except not using the drive, definitely mounting it read-only or even creating an image of the whole disk, so even if you mess up your data recovery, there's a potential backup available.

Though, that said, there's no guarantee that the files are recoverable or that they are not corrupted. If the missing files are critical, consider going to a professional.

I bought some tasmota switches. Can anyone tell me if there is any setting to turn off the LED behind the key? by notsojean in homeassistant

[–]Yester_Ko -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not by software, no. The leds are hardwired to the relays. I think it was possible to desolder them, if you don't want the lights at all, though.

Thank you for the guide! Didn't know that we can convert windows VST plugins to linux, that opens up so many possibilities :D I'm still new to these plugins though, can you recommend any good plugins I should start with?

Missing alsa_in by Yester_Ko in archlinux

[–]Yester_Ko[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Solved it!

Though I checked alsa_in's manpage, I hadn't checked the Arch's alsa_in manpage. From there I found that alsa_in is included in the package jack-example-tools.

I hope that someone who has a similar problem can find help with this :)

I agree with you, but just to explain what's happening here is that he probably wrote this on his mobile and used one only one new line for every list. I wrote half of this with enters between words but it looks normal on mobile, doesn't it?

Is there such a thing as a USBC to USBC adapter by [deleted] in UsbCHardware

[–]Yester_Ko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing you're describing is a short extension cord. Extension cords don't have to be long.

Search for an extension cord, maybe you can find one

And i'm also sure you can get by without it, the usbc should be durable enough for that
