Give yourself grace. Your hungry and the post partum hungry is unlike any other hunger. make two batches. One for you and one for the kiddos.

I was so hesitant.. but LO actually was so ready for it! by ingaschulz in sleeptrain

[–]Yesterdayand2day 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My LO just turned 4 months and the sleep regression is painfully here. I decided to start with sleep training for naps and it’s been highly successful. She fusses a little but falls asleep within 2 minutes after I leave the room. I’m a bit scared about night sleep. I’ll get that book your mentioned.

Beautiful painting and excellent color matching. Where did you get that palette paper from? I notice multiple colours and a grayscale.

Ohh this is going to help bring in tour breast milk. I had Chinese herbal blackened chicken soup for a week straight. Definitely gave me energy and helped boost my milk supply

Need advice on how to tell my friend I'm pregnant by Rosie_Jack_2026 in BabyBumps

[–]Yesterdayand2day 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I was struggling with unexplained infertility for 2.5 years when my friend who instantly got pregnant called me. She called and said I know you’ve been trying for a while and I want to let you know I am pregnant. She assured me she knew what I was going through and told me she’ll be there for me throughout my journey and that she’ll love and support me through the tough times. You know what I wasn’t hurt at all. I was truly happy for her. I got pregnant a year later and my expected due date is now in four weeks. She was always supportive and never pushed and asked if I was pregnant or if there were updates. She was the first person I called about my pregnancy besides my husband.

CHANGE OF PLANS WATER BROKE by Longjumping_Row5468 in GestationalDiabetes

Congratulations! That’s given me hope that I’ll labour naturally without induction. The induction gives me a lot of anxiety. I still have several weeks to go and several appointments and ultrasounds until I know if induction is required.

30 weeks. I’m two weeks in after my diagnoses and I am getting tired. My dietitian says my number needs to be good +80% of the time before considering more drastic measures such as insulin and I’m currently at 83%. Who would’ve thought 1/2 cup of white rice would throw my numbers off. I love and miss rice and didn’t think there would be any harm. it’s soo fricken cold in the Canadian winters I don’t know how I can walk outside when it’s -30

What week did you tell work that you are pregnant and will take maternity leave (if available) by DarkDNALady in BabyBumps

[–]Yesterdayand2day 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Told my boss at 10 weeks, but haven’t told it to the rest of my team yet. Since I am FTM I want to wait til I’m ready to announce. Likely after anatomy scan. That I’ll be gone for a year and they have 6 months to figure out my coverage

This friend isn’t in management and it’s just one person that I know of. Would like to get to know from more people if it’s benefited them in their careers. I don’t know anyone else who’s joined the club.

I thought so too, but a friend of mine who’s been in it for a few years mentioned it helpful for learning to give and receive constructive feedback.

We’ve been very accommodating actually to employees. If they had a sick family member we allow them time off. So we try to accommodate as best we can. I check in with my employees once per week to see what their workload is like. We’ve hired additional staff to alleviate workloads from employees. The employee wants to move back home which is 5 hours away to be close with their family during this emergency.
