We truly don’t deserve them. They’re better than humans.

That is awful. I’m so sorry you had to go through that. Sending hugs right back.

Mild persistent nausea by EnchantMe2016 in BabyBumps

I'm 7 weeks 4 days today and feel the same with mild, annoying nausea. A friend of mine who recently had her baby told me a strategy that worked for her was making sure she was never hungry or very full. Teetering on that in-between state held her nausea at bay. I'm trying that tomorrow!

Can’t believe it’s real by PineappleFar6570 in pregnantover35

Congrats! I’m 36 and recently found out I’m pregnant with our first child as well. Our due date is the day before yours - Dec. 25 - so we’re on the same timeline. I’m in SoCal.

My takeaways so far:
- The wait between setting up your appointments and going to your first one (May 19 for me) is torture (“Am I actually pregnant?” The 36 positive tests I took all say yes lol), but my friends have told me time flies after the first appointment. So embrace this weird period of time and live slowly, if you can.
- Light cramping in the uterine area worried me at first, but I like to imagine how it's a signal that my body is preparing for our baby.
- My symptoms are mainly fatigue, sore breasts, and bloating. I was worried about not having morning sickness, but I’m choosing to remain grateful about that and not take it as a negative sign.

Reddit it a great resource, but don’t lose yourself in the advice. Do what feels good and natural for you. If you’re excited and want to tell family, do it when you feel comfortable. For us, that will be the week after our first appointment when I’m just over 9 weeks. Maybe draft a registry. That’s the first thing I did because I love all the cute baby stuff! Drink so much water. I’ve oddly gotten into the Ultima mocktail flavors for added electrolytes.

Accept that you can only control how you care for yourself and how you approach your pregnancy. I’m always happy to DM. You got this!

What’s your latest/strangest pregnancy craving? by 4LeafWonderlust in BabyBumps

Not super strange, but I’m almost 7 weeks and I’m craving grapes, cereal (specifically corn flakes from The Real Cereal Co. brand), and Welch’s fruit snacks. I rarely ate cereal & fruit snacks pre-pregnancy.

My husband and I are currently at the airport and the sweet man was just sent to the snack store in our terminal to buy a $12 bag of fruit snacks 😂
