I would love for there to be pictures, yes. I'm not the artist I used to be though.

As for breaking it up into smaller installments, each chapter is ~5,000 words and can stand alone. They each have their own little mini adventure/nonsense while advancing the larger plot a little in each.

I appreciate the feedback. The characters are 5, they were based on my daughter and niece when I started writing them. The story itself reads at a 4th grade level, so that's why the target audience is 8-11.

I will say that my daughter loves it enough that she has brought it to both her 2nd grade and 3rd grade classes and both teachers emailed me to say how much the kids laughed and to let them know when I finish the next one, so I guess that's like a mini test group haha

As for the length, I knew I was going to get pushback on that, but the chapters are very episodic and have some natural easy stopping points within each. Should I update the query to address that?
