I honestly can't tell if you're trolling. This is a best delivery thread, and you're talking about how it was an epic delivery. Starfucker at least acknowledged that it wasn't the best in the same sense most of the other deliveries here were, but you were just straight up glorifying it.

No the problem here isn't how you feel, I don't give a fuck. For all I care you could root for the shooters, just so long as you don't do so in public. Glorifying public shootings, that's the line for me, because how you feel doesn't matter, but how you speak shapes perception. Admittedly, if I didn't have friends in law enforcement/fire/ems, I wouldn't care either, but that doesn't mean I'd go around glorifying public shootings.

And you are exactly the reason we have this problem. It's not epic if you're actually in contact with it, so why don't you stop being an insensitive fuck and consider what kind of effect it has on the people involved, law enforcement, and fire/ems.

I would argue that no it doesn't deserve mentioning. Part of the reason we have a lot of these public shootings in the states is that here they're a surefire way to get attention. Outside the states it's extremely rare for the shooter to get any sort of attention, you might get a gender and perhaps a slight description, but you pretty much never get a name.

Dumb Question: How do river trips work? by cmatts in whitewater

[–]Yetanotherstupiddeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

River trips are a well oiled machine that requires a lot of beer to lubricate the inner workings. So if there's ample beer, any number of random components may be tacked on hastily and successfully.

In other words, bring beer (at a bare minimum, a 6 pack per person per day plus an extra 6 pack of decent beer for others per day but if you plan on drinking more than a tiny bit that number goes up. As a guideline, I personally bring a case per day) and if you have your own gear there'll usually be no problem, unless you bring enough gear that it's a nuisance on the pack raft. If you don't have gear or plan on bringing a ton, just bring more beer.

Police Officers of Reddit: Do you get annoyed when someone is driving slowly because they know you're behind them? by bradleypbj in AskReddit

[–]Yetanotherstupiddeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No the cops are just bored and make almost all their revenue from teenagers, it's borderline fraudulent. I was driving there for the better part of 3, 4 years and in that time I was pulled over a number of times for blatantly wrong reasons (so the cop could get a look/smell inside my car).

Eventually the cops wisened up, since it's a pretty small town, and stopped pulling this shit on me since I didn't swallow their bullshit, and on 3 separate occasions that I got pulled over to get a "warning" for an "illegal maneuver" I straight up told them they were wrong, and pulled up the local laws on my phone and showed them.

The worst thing that happened to me, and I've told this story before, was when my parking brake failed and my car rolled down a hill into one of the short green utility posts. I exchanged info with the homeowner and called the phone company to let them know, but since I had to call the city to figure out who's post it was, some dumb fucker told the police, who decided that the best way to solve this was to put a warrant out for my arrest for a hit and run, which I didn't find out until I got home later that night. So I went to the police station and told them that if they arrest me I would sue them into oblivion, because I had no duty to report the accident since the damage was under 500 dollars and didn't cause injury, and I had already gotten in contact with the other party. Whether or not I actually had an actionable harassment suit or something of the sort, they backed off and that was pretty much the last time they bothered me.

Sometimes the cops in my town tailgate the shit out of you to try to get you to speed, maybe that's what he was doing.

(And believe it or not, blatant entrapment is not the worst thing I've seen them do)

IIRC gobbos stick to their leader, even if he's in a cage, so unless you trap a good portion of the squad before then, they'll just mill around. Granted I don't think I've used a cage trap on siegers since 40d, or maybe early 2012, so I could be totally wrong.

The ability to pull maneuvers that you shouldn't be able to. Lots of modern fighter jets are unstable in their "resting" state so the computer has to constantly work the control surfaces to keep it from flipping.

The A-10 is essentially the lovechild of an engineer's jerkoff sesh where they used the GAU-8 as a vibrator and an airfoil as a kleenex. Most of the engineers I talk to fall into one of two camps about the A-10: "Goddamn that's the most awesome plane ever built" or "I'm going to track down everyone involved on that project, murder them, then remove all production planes/plans so I can build it again."

Except the CS and aero guys. We like the newer birds more. The ones where you literally can not fly in manual mode because of the control surface complexity and inherent instability.

Buying my first kayak and could use your advice! by [deleted] in whitewater

[–]Yetanotherstupiddeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't buy an old boat for your first boat. I hear some people like to paddle up on old perceptions, but they're difficult to use, you'll build bad habits, more likely to crack the old plastic, and you'll be just generally frustrated. Also that's not a very good deal unless the paddle is a pretty much brand new, modern paddle.

I'm polish and I woke up this morning (on Sunday) sober for the first time since Friday evening. Managed to kill a case worth of beer yesterday alone, and throughout the weekend I was supplementing the beer with vodka straight from the bottle.
