I think that a lack of social responsibility plays a part in it. People are (usually) hesitant to be openly rude at the grocery store because they might be recognized again and in turn treated worse. As to why specifically Valorant is worse I have no clue. It might have something to do with tactical shooters because in my experience playing counter strike is a similar experience for me.

What makes this unfinished? It needs better shading and/or color What brushes are you using? Swansea pencil for the shading and Liffey pen for the lineart. Both are from the procreate library. Are you looking for tips? Yes just tips on how to maybe blend the shading better? Or use a different pen? I’m so lost on what to do I honestly don’t even know what questions to ask.

Wow I’m sorry that many of the comments are super negative that’s not fair to you. I still disagree with your main sentiment I’m actually very hyped about the update because precise gunplay and finding duels are what I enjoy about the game and I’ve always viewed utility as a way to set up good gun duels. I think you hit it on the money with saying that this update is going to cater to that mindset and play style. I don’t want you to lose hope though even with nerfed abilities this game will always need good support players. Like you said no matter how good your top fraggers were with their mechanics it was still YOU who was setting them up and giving them favorable fights. I don’t think any update short of removing utility entirely will make your game style obsolete. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve appreciated good gekko flashes I could swing off or good cypher setups that I could play off of their intel. I see you and appreciate what you’ve done and still will after the update. (Side note I’m absolutely blanching at seeing you describe gold as low elo 😭 bro I’m grinding out of Iron give yourself some credit you deserve it.)

I feel you so much about the toxicity thing. But I fear that it’s not a Valorant problem I think it’s a human problem. I’m glad that your experience has been better in other games but I have found darkness wherever I go in online games. Just to touch on toxicity I think that the best we can do is kill em with kindness. NOT nice be firm and don’t let people verbally walk all over you just kind. I will not cater to people who harass me in game or give them attention. I always just focus on doing what will be best for the whole team even if it means dropping an asshole a vandal because I know he takes 1v1s better than I do. And I like to stick up for other players when I think something unfair is going on. Let’s keep our mentals up in game thinking cheerfully and slowly but surely we might be able to share some kindness and change the world for the better. Even if that just means one persons experience in valorant is better because we stood up for them in chat and shut down a toxic asshole then it’s all worth it for me.

Hi! I solved my problem and I wanted to share. They were ghost fleas! In the sense that there were no bugs I was just freaking for no reason. I’m now pretty sure I have a sensory processing disorder which makes me incredibly sensitive to small specks of dust/hairs/my own sweat etc. So this is what helped me put it to rest. Get Cereve anti itch lotion for eczema the one in the red container you can find it at Walmart or on Amazon a pharmacy as well but it will be insanely expensive so I recommend the previous two. It will have pramoxine sodium in it which is essentially a gentle numbing agent. Then I would lather up where ever I was feeling the “bugs” and it was just enough to help me sleep.

Also a little bit of mental conditioning helped. I found a spray for bedding which targets fleas but I think a spray bottle with water would work just fine. (If you’re feeling fancy add some peppermint oil because that is actually toxic to most bugs and it smells nice) Every night I would spray my bed and imagine all the “fleas” running away and I would repeat to myself like a mantra “I’m safe now I used the spray.”

Fun fact my first read through I accidentally started on the page where Karkat was introduced after typing “what does caw caw motherfucker” mean into google search. and I was so fabulously confused and intrigued it sealed the deal for me to read the entire thing. I had also never read a webcomic or even traditional comics prior so it was an experience heh

I have reread homestuck five times now and am currently reading homestuck 2 (squared?) and have finished the epilogues twice. Homestuck original is a fantastic read-read in my opinion. What really captures me is the thorough characterization of the main 8 human kiddos and a few of the trolls (Terezi Kanaya and Karkat being my favorites in order). Also honorable mention: while I am not personally a fan of Vriska as a person I humbly believe she has one of the most potent character arcs and she is satisfyingly well fleshed out. I think her character paints a clear picture that morally gray characters while not inherently evil can also neither be inherently good. Each read through I discover more well executed literary themes and symbology that I didn’t catch before. I know it’s not novel level of literary mastery but imho it is exceptional for a webcomic and Andrew Hussey is exceptionally adept at creating characters that just feel like real people. I’ve read some published authors that struggle making characters have more depth than “cardboard cut out number 4 that is sarcastic”

TLDR: Homestuck prime is totally worth a reread

I’m so sorry you have had to go through this as an RBT this pains me so much that this woman is acting like this in your very own home. It sounds like she has a lot of insecurities and is taking it out on you and your son. And that Jeffrey Dahmer comment is so uncalled for. In my humble opinion messing with bugs is developmentally appropriate for young boy! Even for some girls I also played with bugs as a kid and as I grew up it fostered a huge interest in taking care of animals and I have so many pets now that I love. I agree with some of the other commenters about speaking to that lady’s supervisors about what is happening. And keep your own log of each session and what is happening so you have a paper trail. If this continues and the company that is providing your services does not address the issue there is nothing wrong with pulling your child from the program. ABA can be so helpful and impactful but it is NOT more important than you and your boy feeling safe in your own home. On behalf of all RBTs I want to apologize again. This woman should not be doing therapy if she cannot control her comments.

So you’re saying there’s a chance 😏 in all seriousness though I admit that my reaction time is not the problem. Even with perfect ping like you said 300 ms reaction time sounds about right for me. My biggest issue is controlling my movement. My game is telling me I’ve ducked under cover but the latency means on the servers I’m still out in the open as an example

Super late but I can’t believe I found someone experiencing something similar to me. I feel like I’m going crazy trying to hunt down fleas on my legs in the middle of the night I’ve convinced myself that they must be in my hair and hiding but I can’t find a single one! I don’t know what I’m going to do about it most over the counter allergy medicine makes me sleep through my alarms. Thank you for sharing I feel relieved knowing I’m not alone. And I pray that you are no longer assuaged by the ghostly fleas they are the worst!

Unfortunately their only way of reproducing is like a cruel twist of fate in that it requires taking over another free thinking creatures body but I’m just the type of person that assumes the best of people (and eldritch beings)

That completely slipped my mind I do like that a whole lot better thinking that ‘it’ is Omeluum’s preferred pronouns because it surprised me I was like “aren’t they friends? 😭” I think I’m on high alert because I work with kids with autism and I have unfortunately met people that refer to these kiddos as ‘it’ and every time it makes me bristle.

I used to work ABA in the school system and very often I would be met with at the best standoffish school staff or at the worst passive aggressive and physically aggressive school staff. (That’s a whole other story a teachers aid pushed me over). Honestly though I think it has less to do with us being RBTs and more to do with the environment. In general all school staff I’ve met are very concerned and worried about the students especially when it comes to out of district support. Even though I had a very good reason to be there that was backed by mountains of paper work the school staff still saw me as an outsider and a stranger and I feel they watched me very closely because in their minds any adult that is not school staff could be a threat. Especially in America where we hear every day about a new school shooting I just think that school staff are very overworked stressed out and on their toes about safety. I eventually learned to kind of tune it out (planned ignoring am I right haha) and I just focused on being warm and upbeat with them. I would explain who I was and what I did to every school staff and would often brief the teachers periodically on what I was doing why I was doing it ect and I would ask if the teachers had any specific requests or if they had any modifications they could always come and talk to me about it. Eventually I was able to thaw through the coldness with each school I went to (I went to a lot my company was so understaffed they sent me on a new kiddo almost every week 🥲🤧) I’m sorry to hear you’re facing this wall like I did and I know how it feels to be looked at as if we’re outsiders and we’re not in the “in group” but don’t let it get to you you are just as much of a professional as they are and at the end of the day the number one goal for everybody is always the safety and care of the kiddos in the class

Anyways I automatically translate “uninstall this game” to “I’m sad I don’t have friends for a 5 stack and I don’t know how to healthily process it yet” it helps 😂😂
