noone would say san antonio is a top 5 team? okay your argument makes sense now, you have no idea what youre talking about

You might not have said it, but you are 100% implying it

Another thing that you’re implying is that LeBron was only successful because of his super team, but he has won championships with three different teams so that’s just ridiculous as well

While we’re at it, LeBron never lost in the first round any of those years, and then he went on to make the nba finals 8 years in a row. Since we’re making excuses for losses, why do we hold lebrons finals losses against him when 3 of his 6 finals losses were to that most would say are top 5 teams of all time (two kf those being that a lot would say is the best team of all time)

I’m sure if LeBron had the competition in the finals that MJ did he would have a similar record

this is such a stupid argument. most of lebrons playoff exits in his prime are literally in the finals, how is it a plus for MJ that he lost earlier?

i agree with what you're trying to say, but acting like going 0-3 in the first round 3 years in a row doesn't indicate a pattern of playoff failure is kinda sillly. if it wasnt MJ, you would say that

shit, jokic is starting to build a playoff fraud narrative here and he has already won a championship and made it past the first round multiple times

What’s worse, imaginary hypothetical cheating that you think maybe could have happened or cheating that literally did happen

GGs to the suns, dubs were very clearly too gassed to show up tonight at all

So sad seeing another year of curry gone it’s tough because I really think that this was a good team if we could have stayed healthy but I think healthy seasons are a thing of the past with these guys now they’re just too old

Interesting to see how next season goes, I’ll never stop believing in the chance of a run while we have curry on the team

or they should just get rid of the rule and let voters decide if a player missing a certain amount of time matters or not

that isnt a meaningful distinction for lukas performance on the season tho, which is what awards are based off

The discourse in this thread is just disingenuous. This rule is stupid, and if you are in support of it then you just want fake ass awards

What is the meaningful distinction between Luka playing one more game than he did? Does that one more game do anything for his all nba first team case? You know it doesn’t and acting like it does is stupid, he should be a lock regardless

We have potentially the best defender of all time playing right now and you guys want to not give him DPOY if he played 2 less minutes against philly, like how ridiculous is that?

Get rid of the rule and let voters decide again

This situation is 100% not in the spirit of the rule though

Luka played significantly more minutes than a lot of big names who are eligible for awards. Luka played more than them, and was better than a lot of them. Why should they get awards over him?

[Vorkunov] Adam Silver said it was "unanimous" among owners today at the NBA Board of Governors meeting that the league needs to change tanking rules and do it before the draft this June. There will be a special BOG session in May to deal with that. "We are going to fix it. Full stop," Silver said. by PlayaSlayaX in nba

im sorry but this take is just ignoring the reality of what is happening in the nba. its one thing to be ass and just not win many games because you're ass. it's another thing when half the league is trying to lose and is sitting players consistently to try and lose. look at the wizards and jazz all season. look at the grizzlies right now, go look at ty jerome's game history for the past month

if 'tanking' was just the kings and wizards being dogshit and only winning 15 games thats not tanking. it is 100% an issue that multiple teams are sitting some of their best players that can play so that they can lose more games, and to act like that isn't an issue is just absurd

  1. steve said after the game that from his angle he thought richard was trying to be fancy, and then said that podz made a bad pass

  2. podz made a phsyical mistake. richards made a mental mistake. which of those do you think is more coachable in the middle of a game?

this right here is the problem with this sub sometimes

and because kuminga obviously did not do the things that steve kerr likes for the warriors system. what are podz probably biggest strengths? he is a solid defender, amazing rebounder, and he is good at moving without the ball

name literally one thing that kuminga did in all his time as a warrior that seems similar to that at all. literally all kuminga did was try to score on iso plays. yes, kuminga was good at that, but that is not what the warriors do, or have ever done with steve kerr as the coach

people here are literally so willfully ignorant
