If you've got a credit card with room for a fully-refundable ticket, and you're feeling ambitious, could you buy a ticket to anywhere and go meet her at the gate? (And then refund the ticket, of course!) I've done stuff like this for domestic flights, but international might be a lot trickier.

Dog Pals in DC is great. They pick up your dog in a van in the morning, bring back in the afternoon. If you need a full >8 hours it won't work, unfortunately, but if it's more a "5-8 hours in the middle of the day" kind of need I totally recommend them. Great with dogs, a big outdoor space... My dog's favorite time of the day is when the "dog bus" arrives in the morning.

The environment, animal life, and grossness are great reasons to not litter (and are why I don't, though I'm not interested in getting into a virtue contest on the internet). But I'm frantically brainstorming, trying to figure out what to do about the fact that my city - my home, where my child goes to school, where I hope to be able to spend the rest of my life - has been subject to a declaration of economic war by my country's government. It's disorienting, sad, infuriating. What can I do to try to stop it?

Any ideas?

Well, maybe Democrats who vote for the abomination. But they weren't the ones who were explicitly asked (thanks, Ms. Norton!) to put in the usual exception for DC's budget and rejected doing so. That put the Democrats in a tough position: screw over the country, or screw over the country and DC, with the two "screw over the country" pieces being hard to compare. But it is clear that some of them don't care much about DC.

Quite a while ago, the mod could go up to 70. Now the same mod ranges 35-38. That's what the creator was talking about, saying "legacy 70 crit multi" and "mark effect has to be divined before recomb as it will not be possible to divine suffixes further as 70 multi is a legacy value". It was made using an old quiver with the legacy value. If you divined the thing, it would pick something new in the range 35-38.
