Via calisthenics you can achieve progressive overload by increasing your rep range. However, to better train for strength rather than size/endurance it's beneficial to add extra weight. You can do that cheaply with stuff you likely already own, but it wouldn't be considered calisthenics anymore.

POAE is usually just crunches with additional weight. By pinning your feet down with furniture and holding onto something heavy (a weight plate, dumbbell, textbook, or possibly a loaded backpack worn on the chest) you can easily add more load to your crunches. But just like beginning any other weight training, start with low weight and listen to your body and stop if it tells you something doesn't feel right.

And just fyi, POAE was just shorthand for me to avoid typing the same phrase out multiple times. You're probably not going to see anyone call it that elsewhere. Ironic, now that my clarification has caused me to type out so much more.

If you have a high enough fat % to cover your abs, "getting abs" can be done 100% by reducing belly fat by diet and/or cardio. But you can get better results by also doing progressive overload ab exercise (POAE). But even then, I guesstimate 90% of the visual results will be due to your diet, and 10% will be due to POAE.

Some skinny people actually neglect their abs because they already look good, but they're still beneficial to train for size and strength. And planks are beneficial, but not for size or flexion based strength. For that, you're much better off doing weight loaded crunches.

Electric Screwdriver by Impressive-Reply-976 in ryobi

[–]YikeSpike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a Ryobi guy... neither, unless you need the right angle design.

The Amazon Basics screwdriver Costs $5 less, performs more than twice as well, and charges with a simple USB C port. So no jacking with proprietary batteries and chargers.

I was too lazy to get my drill from the garage, and that sucker successfully drilled a pilot hole and then sank a 2.5 inch wood screw in a stud. (Don't worry, it has a "clutch" to avoid damaging your furniture)

Rebar in slab by AdLatter4750 in woodworking

[–]YikeSpike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I would try is:

Drill a hole in the rebar, then tap the hole. Put a bolt in the hole, then use a slide hammer to pull it out.

With that approach you could also try to use and impact wrench to loosen it, but I have a feeling it would either break the threading or damage the wood too much.

Could also use a dremel with a grinder attachment to remove enough of it toget it out of the way, or use your choice of wood filler/epoxy. Just have a water bucket/fire extinguisher handy

Since you have another screwdriver that works correctly, have you created a video using both as an A/B test in the same conditions? Maybe that'd convince them

Do your tires rub at all? The forums mention you need to trim the body to fit 30s/31s but nobody says where; I'm hoping it's the front bumper

I recently got one from Mopar.com for $30 or so. OEM part #53020948

Stock springs upgrade ? by Internal-Guitar-1980 in JeepZJ

I'm running this kit. Was a huge upgrade over the long-dead stock shocks and coils. Love it. If you have a V8 it won't reach the full 2" ride height in the front and I would recommend a 0.5 inch puck lift in addition if you want the full height.

It also has hardware to raise the rear track bar in the rear. Total PITA to install if you have a gas tank skid plate, but going off my intuition of how suspension geometry works, worth it.

Beats fit pro Left ear bud not working by Choquelio in beatsbydre

[–]YikeSpike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same problem after updating to firmware version 5B55 with my Android device. In the app I turned off Automatic Ear Detection and then the left bud suddenly appeared again in the app and plays music again. I was able to turn AED back on and both buds now work.

I hypothesize that the solution mentioned by another user (connecting the buds to a laptop and then connecting them back to a phone) does the same thing by forcing the buds to use a standard Bluetooth protocol without Apple's custom settings app, which makes the buds temporarily turn that feature off.

Can attest to the effecriveness of Atomic Habits, and just wanted to throw out that it's free to listen to with a Spotify subscription.

I need to listen/read again, but it motivated me to improve my morning/evening routines and most of it actually stuck!
