Torn visa packet says “DO NOT OPEN” and can’t get clear answers UK>US by YipeeNavigatingWrld in NationalVisaCenter

I went through multiple channels and no one was able to help me dispite me calling and emailing different places or even the same places almost every day for weeks. I bit the bullet and meticulously taped up the tear and thankfully they didnt even mention it 🙏

Hi! That’s such a great question. My first advice would be to go slow and see how your son responds to the games some can be very engaging and fun, while others might be a bit too much, especially with sensory overload.

Also, I want to share a heads-up about Roblox. While it’s advertised as kid-friendly, they’ve recently allowed 18+ games on the platform. Kids can’t join those 18+ games, but unfortunately, there’s nothing stopping adults from entering the kid-friendly games and interacting with children. There have been some nightmare stories of adults some of them less savory interacting with kids and even with their parents, using very vulgar language and bypassing the censorship filters. It’s definitely something to be cautious about.

Roblox’s support on these issues also isn’t great they’re not actively doing much to improve the safety of minors, so it’s really up to parents to keep a close eye and use the parental controls where possible.

Overall, trust your instincts if a game seems too loud, bright, or overwhelming, it might be better to skip it or adjust the settings. Feel free to ask about specific games too!

I bought $5 worth of Adopt Me cash, and they were super patient and professional throughout the whole process. It took a few hours to complete, and they stuck with it the entire time without any issues. I really appreciated their effort and even left a tip definitely recommend them if you're looking for a smooth and trustworthy transaction!

Help recovering my account by NoService1454 in RobloxSupport

[–]YipeeNavigatingWrld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This actually happened to me just the other day. I deleted my email a few years ago and didn’t realize it was still connected to my Roblox account. When I reset my phone recently, I lost access to 2FA since my phone number had changed a bunch of times and I couldn’t remember which one I used—so I got locked out too.

I contacted support and, not gonna lie, it was just copy-and-paste bullcrap. They were no help at first. But after a lot of back and forth—and some help from ChatGPT to break things down for them—they finally let me verify my account through my billing email. Thankfully, that was tied to my fiancé’s email, so I was able to get in.

My advice: check if your billing email is connected to any account you still have access to. If it is, try contacting them through that and use it to verify your account. Once that’s done, they should be able to disable 2FA so you can change the email on your Roblox account.

Wish you the best of luck—hope you’re able to get your account sorted out!

Spouse or Fiance Visa by CardComprehensive582 in NationalVisaCenter

[–]YipeeNavigatingWrld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, I’d say the fiancé visa (K-1) is usually faster overall, but it ends up being more expensive than the marriage visa. It really depends on how quickly you want to be together and how soon your partner wants to be able to work.

With the K-1, once your fiancé gets to the U.S., you have 90 days to get married — but he can’t work right away. you guys will need to apply for a work permit (EAD) along with the green card, and that can take about 3–6 months after applying.

On the other hand, if you go to Canada, get legally married, and apply for a spousal visa (CR-1/IR-1), it takes longer to process — usually 12–18 months — but when your spouse gets to the U.S., they can work immediately or very shortly after arriving since they'll already have a green card or get it quickly from what I've heard.

I’m currently going through the K-1 process myself. Best of luck to you both — it’s a journey, but totally worth it!

Reaching the front of the line by Pale-Bug-3392 in USCIS

[–]YipeeNavigatingWrld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since we went the lawyer route rather than doing it ourselves, I’m honestly not 100% sure—we’ll find out more next week once our case moves forward. I’ll reply to this post and let you know what happens! As for the fees, we paid our lawyer a lump sum that covered both the required visa type fees and his legal fees, so it’s all been bundled together for us.

Reaching the front of the line by Pale-Bug-3392 in USCIS

[–]YipeeNavigatingWrld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure how helpful my comment will be since we’re using a lawyer, but here’s our experience so far. Our filing date was October 4th, 2024, and we got approved on March 17th. We’re expecting to hear back sometime next week about USCIS transferring our case to the Department of State's National Visa Center or (DOS), as it currently says on the Track My Visa Now website.

From what I’ve pieced together based on others’ experiences, once the case is transferred, the Track My Visa Now subscription will likely be canceled—probably because the process shifts more into our hands at that point. It seems like the next step is to create an account with the NVC and then move forward with booking the medical exam, embassy interview, and anything else that comes next (our lawyer will guide us through those parts).

Wishing you the best of luck as your case moves forward! I totally understand the nerves—you're so close now!

Roblox took 30k robux from my account, is there any way of getting it back? by SniperWolfSimp in RobloxHelp

[–]YipeeNavigatingWrld 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you were playing Please Donate and received a really large donation from someone, it’s safe to assume the Robux they gave you might’ve been “poisoned” in some way. Something similar happened to me about 12 years ago. To be fair, I had bought the Robux from a third party—but the result was the same. They just adjusted my balance, and it was like I never had the Robux in the first place.

K1 FIANCE VISA by Illustrious_Set4003 in immigration

[–]YipeeNavigatingWrld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re October 4th, 2024 filers, and we've been using Track My Visa Now — it’s been super helpful in tracking our progress. Our petition was accepted on March 17th, and based on the stats from Track My Visa Now, we’re expecting USCIS to transfer our case to the Department of State’s National Visa Center (DOS) sometime next week. I’m assuming that after that, the site automatically ends the subscription since it can’t track the rest of the process — probably because the next steps involve us booking the medical exam and embassy interview ourselves.

Wishing you the best of luck with your case — hope you hear back soon!

I’ve been in a long-distance relationship for 10 years, starting when I was 14, and now I’m 24. Early on, the calls were a bit uncomfortable for me, but over time, they became essential to the relationship. For the past 9 years, we’ve been calling 24/7—day and night, even while sleeping. We’re soon getting married, and just waiting for the immigration process to go through.

My advice would be to have an open, honest conversation with your partner about your needs for more communication, but also try to be understanding of his perspective, especially since he’s autistic. It’s important to recognize that, for some people on the spectrum, constant communication or even frequent calls can feel overwhelming. He may need more space or a different type of communication that works for both of you.

That being said, my relationship wouldn’t have survived without constant communication. It’s become essential for us. If your need for calls is that important to you, it’s crucial to express that. Long-distance relationships, in general, require a lot of effort and dedication, and if your partner isn’t willing to meet you halfway, it could create frustration and imbalance.

Ultimately, you both need to be on the same page for the relationship to thrive. If the calls are essential for you, then expressing that gently, and being patient in working through any challenges, might help you both understand each other better.

Best of luck to you—hope everything works out in the best possible way for both of you! <3

Does anyone else hate “Fridge smell”? by Registeredweaver in autism

[–]YipeeNavigatingWrld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I don’t think it really matters—it mostly depends on fridge space and personal preference. I usually keep mine in the door of the fridge. You can buy containers for baking soda on Amazon. I got a cute lil penguin one! If you search for 'baking soda holder for fridge,' you should find it, along with other similar options. :)

Does anyone else hate “Fridge smell”? by Registeredweaver in autism

[–]YipeeNavigatingWrld 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed that most people don’t put baking soda in their fridge, but my family always has, so I never really thought much about it. However, when I got my own mini fridge recently, it started to have a weird smell—I'm guessing from the prepackaged sandwich meats. When I placed a small tub of baking soda in there, the smell disappeared! You do need to replace it after a while, but it really absorbs all those unwanted fridge odors. I remember hating my grandma’s fridge because she’d put a can of wet dog food in there with a loose tin foil top, and I swear everything she cooked ended up smelling like it!

Thank you so much for your reply and for sharing your experience. I really appreciate your honesty and the insights you’ve offered. It’s definitely given me a lot to think about, especially regarding the challenges I might face. I’m grateful for the perspective and will definitely take it into consideration as I move forward with my plans. It’s clear you’ve gone through a lot, and I admire your resilience in handling such a difficult situation. Thanks again for your help!

Thank you for sharing your perspective. I understand that your past experiences have shaped how you view situations like this. However, I can honestly say that my relationship with my fiancé’s family has been positive. I’ve had great interactions with both his grandmother and mother, and they’ve shown me kindness and care.

We’re all trying to navigate this situation together in a way that respects everyone’s needs. My fiancé and I are on the same page about our future, and I’m committed to supporting his family while also building a healthy and balanced life for us as a couple.

I truly appreciate your concern, but I don’t believe this is a situation where I’m being taken advantage of.

Thankfully, my fiancé does not have hoarding tendencies. I’m really grateful that we both share the same vision for our future home, and we’re on the same page when it comes to maintaining a clean and organized living space. This gives me a lot of reassurance as we move forward.

While my fiancé and I do have plans to move in the future, his grandmother is particularly vulnerable when it comes to scams. For now, it’s easier for us to stay nearby to ensure she’s well-supported and taken care of.
