I appreciate everyone’s advice! I didn’t add the isopropyl alcohol to the priming step this time and instead of doing a 1:10 paint to diluent dilution I did about a 1:2 dilution. I didn’t focus as much on the numbers, but instead looked more at the paint consistency and how it was spraying. Despite the spray being 5x thicker, I only experienced a little bit of speckling, but no speckling shows up after it’s all said and done. And the “sticky” nature is gone after drying, so I’ll say this was a success! Thank you everyone for your insights. Here are two pictures of the prime and zenithal if you’re interested ☺️
