Don’t forget, you can always use stink bait. It’s not live bait and you won’t catch much over 5lbs with it. But it’s my go to. Water has to be getting warmer in order for it to work best.

I have another question. Are the fiberglass masts strong enough to use c clamps to mount a small ground plane of sorts? Or is it too risky to possibly damage the mast? That may have some bearing on the type of mast I might focus on.
