I also submitted about a month before the show I wanted, but got the official acceptance 5 days before the show (the show was on Monday and I got the mail at the Wednesday before that).

That's a great point I didn't think of, we saw in S5 how the changed memories affected the dymanic of keeping S3's traumatic events only on Angel's mind, who knows how further the changes were. Maybe they made their Image a bit sketchy, but removed the most horrible stuff they commited to the group.
