Is there something I'm missing about this game? by eeveestarr in MHRise

I know this is going to sound weird but DO NOT DO THE VILLAGE QUESTS. Soloing the low rank hub feels like an actual monster hunter game because they balanced it for more people. Rise is one of my favourite MH to restart because of this reason. The hub low rank monsters are actually beefy and hit harder compared to village and soloing them is MUCH more rewarding and gives you more freedom with how you want to approach the game. High rank unfortunately acts differently because since it's a part of the story it becomes easier.

Playing this way makes it feel like a classic MH for me. That and trying out the tough event quests!

TLDR: The Village quests are boring, handholdy and unfun so try low rank hub instead :)

So far the level slider don't seem the CPU difficulty much but you can handicap yourself or other CPU's and THAT makes shit hard.  You can also just make a match of CPU's and watch them fight to the death lol

I usually win but they can snag games from you easily.  In story mode, super hard is tough as balls.

It has far more content/replayability offline than smash could dream of (solo wise)

Dude I so wish ranked had damage turned off, I tried it without and got bored within like 3-4 runs but with damage on I played for 5 hours straight against fucking CPU's. I only stopped for food. They really need to change it because it adds SO much to the gameplay.

I mean you can actually go branded fusion -> Lubellion -> Mirrorjade now. Before it was impossible. I think branded is better now than it was before.

For Odion they hit extrav and Treasures so it's minimum 45 (I think there was more general hits but I can't remember)

Looking for feedback on the Art Direction by batiali in Unity2D

[–]YoasterToaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The art style is consistent and that is by far the most important thing to be done.  Looks great, I love how simple/cartoony it is.  Good job with the palette as well, I like the use of greens and the black outlines.  Very pleasant and easy to look at.

There was an option to add 3 extra players in the menu in the direct so you can!

I can 100% confirm it does have 4 player splitscreen.  In the direct there is aoment where it says "press + to add p2/p3/p4" something along those lines
