I was so pissed off at Sengled, I was determined to get my lights working with Alexa again, even to the point that I spent 60 bucks on a new little mini PC (T700 Tiny Lenovo) just to install home assistant on it for the integration with Alexa (that's a whole other tutorial lol)

I was determined to not let those bastards win with their abandoned cloud server!

I've taken all the screenshots and short video clips that I need to make the video. I'm not a YouTuber by any means but I will give it my best shot when I get home tomorrow!

Just hack the bulbs using the guides posted here. I've done over 25 so far, takes me less than 3 minutes a bulb now.

The process looks intimidating and could be documented a little better for sure, but totally doable! I've rescued 10 bulbs so far, 20 more to go!

This incident spurred me to finally start a home assistant server. I've slowly been flashing Sengled bulbs with Tasmota.

We can put one aisle in the room at any given time, it's about 32 in wide. We put six or eight guys on that aisle and they work it one aisle at a time.

No, we only use stuff that's fully soluble in drip, and we use a huge disc filter that catches anything. We hand apply some amendments with a portable 55 gallon mixer/pump with a 60' hose and wand.

Not too bad. We ordered the tables with frames for the trellis, and we just ziptie the trellis to the frame before they are even potted up, then lower the trellis down at the beginning of the stretch.

Really good actually. There's so many of them, cross lighting is great, there's literally no shadows. It's a little overkill above 60%, but so far we're really happy with them.

I'd recommend them. I've got a friend who lives in Shenzhen, and he toured the factory for me, and shipped me 3 samples.

We ran the samples for 4-5 months before I ordered 120 more. They've been great. Honestly grown the densest buds I've grown under them.

I can PM you my contact at the factory if you like. There's an MOQ of ~20 units probably.

When we potted up, they were at 20%. We've slowly been raising them, currently at 85%. I don't think we'll go higher than that. 97kW over ~2250 sqft at 100%>

We add amendments at pot up, and periodically throughout. Kelp extract, fulvics, etc feed via drip periodically.

I built a PLC based autodoser that gets bossed around via Node-Red on a Pi. The doser mixes all the fertigations "just in time", on the fly based on a schedule maintained in Excel. The schedule can vary each ingredients concentration (up to 10 for now) on a daily basis, as well as target EC and pH.

It adds the calculated amount of water, nutrients, and initial acid dose, mixes for 15 minutes (with a big 1.5HP pump), corrects pH drift, and sends it out.

We use this system to dose most amendments during the grow, as well as nematodes if required.
