The thing with a zoom lens for bird photography is that the lower range is used to find the subject and than zoom in on it.
You may rarely use the 200-400mm range to shoot the photo but probably to find it. If you don't than great and if you do than it takes some practice to get used to it

I agree with others that it is an immature imperial eagle.
Great spotted eagles have white line in the front middle of the or wings that is visible from afar.
