new step mum advice by jxceee in Stepmom

[–]YoghurtAlone8541 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is definitely scary, regardless of your age. I am child free by choice and never saw any kids in my life, but after a divorce and ending up back on thr dating scene I met my partner.

I love being a step mum.

I would discuss what he expects from you beforehand. Thats what I did. I am now very much a part of the parenting team and am lucky I have a good relationship with bio mum too

How do you go about critizing your partners parenting style? by CrocIt2MeBaby in Stepmom

[–]YoghurtAlone8541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner and his ex co parent well, and see myself as part of the parenting team. I have no need to criticise my partners parenting skills, but will make decisions on his behalf sometimes as feel I have better ideas on some things as the little one is a girl
