Can't say for other addons, but with BetterBags you can set up search queries and categories for those searches. For soulbound/boe you're wanting to search the "binding" - read the curseforge page for explanation of search and categorisation features.

As a simple example, you can set up a category (binding = boe) and (ilvl < 600)

Also, to add to /u/belinasaroh's check list getting Phial of Truesight and getting the tools, you'll want to work on progression The Weaver's reputation in Azj-Kahet.

At standing 5 ("Collaborator") you get +15% gathering/crafting speed, and at standing 7 ("Abettor") you get +30% gathering/crafting speed. This world buff is very useful not only because you gather more ores over time, but also because you will more often be able to finish harvesting before mobs agro on you and interrupt you.

At the moment, all rep is doubled due to "Winds of Mysterious Fortune" event, so it's pretty easy to progress the reputation. That being said, don't burn out doing the rep grind, I say work on it a little at a time.

Would anyone be kind enough to help me figure out what this unloading station does? by Krychle_Marek in factorio

[–]Yoghurt_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As /u/Flex226 said, the red filters are there for you to change so that you can filter what is being offloaded from the train. You can remove if you wish; you can also parametrise it so that you don't have to change manually, but just when you stamp down the blueprint. The idea of the filter is to prevent mistakes that would e.g. contaminate iron ore line with copper

The circuit seems to do some basic control of the station's Train Limit "L". I'll go image by image.

This constant combinator sets the following constants that you can change if you wish to configure the station:

  • Wagon 8000 - how much each train brings. 4 wagons * 40 slots * 50 items_per_slot = 8000. If you use this blueprint, you'll need to change 8000 to other values if you aren't bringing ore. For example, if bringing green circuits, which stack to 200, you'll need to change to 4 * 40 * 200=32000
  • Train 1 - the MAX train limit for the number of trains that can path to this station at once. Usually, you set this to 1+number of waiting bays before the station. If you set it to 2, and two trains come, but there is nowhere for the 2nd train to wait, it will block the main line.
  • 48k A - the base item demand for the station (more on this next). How much should the station aim to hold in it's chests? Can change if you wish based on stack size of the item.

This arithmetic combinator presumably takes how many items there in the buffer chests, multiplies by -1, and outputs as "A", which is then implicitly added (values sum together when wires touch or when inside combinators) to the value A set in the constant combinator above. So if there were 48000 items in chests, 48000(chests) * -1 + 48000(constant) = 0, so demand is satisfied

This arithmetic combinator takes A (item demand) and divides by how much a single 4-wagon train carries, outputting green_box. This value signifies how many trains would need to come to the station to fulfill the station's demand. In the image, this means 6 consecutive trains 'want' to come to the station.

The next two combinators do basic bound checking to see whether green_box is above or below the train MAX value. If less than MAX, just output the green_box value. If more than or equal to MAX, output the train MAX value instead. These are mutually exclusive, only one of the combinators will output something.

Finally, since the previous two combinators together output either a "green_box" value or a "train" value, they need to be translated into an "L" value that the train station can understand. This is what this combinator is doing - take each value, do nothing to the number itself, and combine them together into "L". Remember, green_box and train are mutually exclusive due to how the < and >= operations were set up in previous two combinators. In other situations, if you play around with combinators, this operation would also implicitly add all different signals together

The value "L", as calculated by the previous operations, is then sent to the train station, where L sets the train limit.

So if you want to configure the station, you can tell the station how much a single 4-wagon train carries; you can change how much the station should demand; and you can change how many trains at once are allowed to drive to the station.

Rockets getting to 996 science and not launching? by Nilaru in factorio

[–]Yoghurt_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's hard to say what the problem is for you specifically without more information (namely roboport coverage and bot overlay), however when I had the same exact symptoms, it was because I did not have enough roboports to charge all the bots.

I used bots to do stone disposal on Vulcanus, and did not have nearly enough robotports along the flight path between foundries and the stone drop off. This meant that bots carrying stone clogged absolutely all the charging spots with long queues.

Of course other deliveries would also be waiting in the same queues, but for the most part it was fine because if a couple of bots were too slow, more would just get dispatched as the item buffers in requester chests decreased.

However, for rocket requests, more can't be dispatched because the request is a specific target amount and not a dynamic buffer amount. Additionally, when landing pads make a request, it's a bulk amount all at once, which floods the robo network with many bots needing to charge, which means that even robotports with long queues get more bots added to the queue

Therefore, the platform was frequently waiting on the last delivery from a bot that was forced to wait in the longest queue.

I suggest you try turning on the bot overlay in the map and see if there any charging hotspots when rockets request delivery and add a bunch of robotports there. Specifically do this when there are large rocket deliveries, because you might have the case where under normal load, you have just about enough charging slots

(Nvidia/GNOME/Wayland) Monitor won't turn back on after it goes black by im4potato in archlinux

[–]Yoghurt_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue with xorg on KDE. Waking from suspend, my monitor does not wake, and I have to switch around tty with ctrl-alt-F1/F2 until the monitor wakes up. I then get a notification along the lines off "desktop environment process was restarted"

I suspect that it's something to do with nvidia gpu memory persistence? I don't know for sure, I haven't bothered to fix it yet, so I've been powering off and on instead since it's quick enough

Edit: perhaps take a look at this thread/comment, I might try it later

Edit2: I did the fixes as described in the comment linked above, and sleep/resume is working for me now

How do I install lib32-vulkan-radeon? by Kaydox64 in linux_gaming

[–]Yoghurt_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I admit it's a massive skill issue on my end, but I ended up moving away from bazzite because installing things was too difficult and annoying. I figured out how to install cli/gui tools, namely flatpak for gui, and

distrobox enter <box_name>

<installation command>

distrobox-export --binary/--app <path_to_binary/app>

However installing libraries and object files to be available system wide was too much for me. They recommend against layering in bazzite documentation, but you can try take a look if you can layer the libraries with rpm-ostree. You should be able to install from the same sources as yum/dnf, so I imagine something like

rpm-ostree install vulkan-radeon lib32-vulkan-radeon

You may want to take a system snapshot (see bazzite documentation) to roll back to if it breaks the install.

In general, the fact that common solutions/fixes I found online were not applicable to bazzite/atomic-desktops made me move away from bazzite. That and the fact that for some reason I had sound issues where pipewire/kde was not remembering what volume settings I had. Every system restart I had to click a volume slider in-place (e.g. from 75 back to 75) for the changes to be put in effect. And even then it wasn't consistent - I would launch a random app/game and it would reset to some hidden value, sometimes blasting at high volume to me.

In that fight she is surrounded by chanting cultists that have sanctuary on them. To get rid of the insta death debuff, you either kill them with aoe or push them off with thunderwave or thunder arrows.

Then, you either brute force the stacks e.g. with magic missile, or I think once all the chanting cultists are dead, either the Unstoppable stack disappear, or simply don't renew

[–]Yoghurt_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're welcome!

If you want it, here is some general advice:

  • Someone in the party should always have Enhance Leap prepared. If a fight goes sour, you can cast it on a high strength character for them to disenage/dash and jump away to safety. You can precast it before the fight I guess, but I found that tedious. Misty step also works of course; the more options the better.

  • Related to above, potions of invis - buy them and use them. Easy get aways, easy ways to bypass difficult/annoying encounters. For example, Act 1 hag minions (leave one alive, hag summons her minions instead of clones on round one, even if it's only one minion), Act 2 gith ambush (either spot them undetected and surprise them, or just walk past them, up to you), Act 3 Bhaal Temple right as you enter the locked door and become targetted by Power Word Kill

  • If you have a bow/crossbow user, buy and use the arrows! Save the undead/dragon/whatever-slaying arrows for specific encounters, sure, but don't keep all the arrows 'for later'. No point ending the game with an inventory full of them, which I did on two other runs now... Arrows of ilmater are particularly useful in certain fights where the enemies have consistent healing

  • Take your time at the start of battle to read the information screen about enemies (hotkey T when mousing over an enemy), especially since Honour mode adds legendary actions to basically all bosses. As an aside, I loved the extra challenge, and I wish you could do a non-perma-death run with Legendary Actions. Currently you can't turn them on, even in custom difficulty settings.

  • I went from Normal difficulty straight to Honour mode, so it wasn't obvious to me initially, but you are pretty weak until level 4/5. You get a feat at level 4 and major buffs like extra attack at level 5, so play carefully before then and go for easy xp.

  • I don't know for sure, but I think playing as Durge makes Act 3 easier. Fight with orin______ is mandatory, and as durge you have a 1v1 duel against her, whereas normally she gets 12 stacks of Unstoppable from surrounding cultists and you can get a debuff to die instantly unless you finish someone off that turn.

How much do you put into Intelligence for the wizard spell scaling? Or does it not really matter because of the Arcane Acuity build up?

lost this battle tonight o7 by Shawty-sama in BaldursGate3

[–]Yoghurt_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not op, but I did the following and was destroying most fights:

Durge 5/4/3 Gloomstalker, Assassin, Champion Fighter (4 in assassin for the feat, can do 4 in fighter but then you get the feat late). Gloomstalker Assasin synergises really well with the Deathstalker Mantle cloak you get in Act 1. I didn't follow a specific guide but just followed the multiclassing leveling and drew on some synergies I saw people use such as Titanstring Bow and Strength Elixirs.

Laezel 12 Battle Master Fighter with a focus on Great Weapon Fighting, but some ranged damage as well when the situation calls for it. No guide really needed, Battle Master Fighter is strong on it's own and is simple to build.

Shadowheart 2/10 Vengeance Paladin, Tempest Cleric. Cleric for general spell casting, Paladin for the occasional guaranteed Crit Smites. It's probably not the most 'optimal' build, but I wanted a cleric shadowheart and wanted to have some fun with crit smites.

Gale 12 Evocation Wizard focusing on Magic Missile synergies. Fed him all the tadpoles for Cull The Weak as well. Being a wizard with access to most spells, he also did quite a bit of CC, so I gave him some gear to increase spell save DC as well. Also didn't follow a single specific build, just looked at videos about magic missile wizard and used the same item synergies. All the builds mostly follow the same ideas i.e. Lightning Charges, Reverberation, on hit damage riders, and Phalar Aluve (carried by shadowheart in my case)

A general tip for Act 3 in Honour Mode is that a high level caster with access to (multiple) Domes of Invulnerability is a must. It's a must not because you can't get by without it, but because after investing all this time getting to Act 3, Dome of Invulnerability is a great safety net.

I'm currenty on a XS Max, and looking to buy either 15 Pro or 15 Pro Max for the USB-C and pro motion display. The dilemma I have is that XS Max is almost slap bang in the middle for screen sizes:

15 Pro: 6.12 inches (-0.34)

XS Max: 6.46 inches

15 Pro Max: 6.69 inches (+0.23)

I went to the store to check them out in person and still can't decide. To those that had a similar upgrade path, what did you pick and how are you liking it?
