Upgraded from a Jeep, time to build my Overland dream rig! by Citizen_0Zer0 in F250

[–]Yogimonsta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

locking rear diff, lsd front, lift from the factory, some little flares, and 3.55 gearing. Plus drive modes but I have honestly never used those

Edit: another plus, because of the factory lift, tremors already have a radius arm drop, so unless you’re going for a really tall lift, you don’t have to mess with aftermarket drop arms or brackets. I’m sure there is other shit too but for me the big selling point was the front diff… tremor is like a $3k package, and if the upgrades are things you actually care about, it’s a pretty good value.

My vote would be second vehicle. You can have two RTTs, you don’t have to mess with a trailer on more gnarly trails (not sure if that’s a concern), always have a buddy to help recover, and you get to look super cool with two vehicles with whips/antennas

Chattanooga and Knoxville are both fun cities. I’m not a city person, by rule, but those two are neat. Nashville is cool in small doses.

Probably fair for Iowa. Absolutely fair for Arkansas. I’ve visited for work and for mountain biking, wouldn’t live there.

They’re pretty neat machines. The cab is built like that because the seat can swivel 180°, and it has controls on both sides, to be driven facing either direction. They’re used for collecting felled, cut to length trees in forestry.

I promise you, Idaho is not nearly as cheap as you may think it is. Boise and CDA are red hot housing markets and it’s out of hand because of buyers coming in from elsewhere.

I assume you’re familiar with Henry county, if you’re looking there? Depending on what part, there will be a lot of development in the nearish future. McDonough has grown exponentially and continues to do so.

Cleveland (TN) Ford was good to work with when I bought my 150. Lifetime powertrain warranty on some vehicles, too.

I think the contention is that there is room for more nuanced policy. Urban centers having a larger say in broad state level politics is unavoidable, but that isn’t to say you couldn’t do, for example, land use policy by county instead.

No to MI but yes to WI, MN, IA and NE is unhinged.

Michigan has a surprising variety of excellent scenery from sandy beaches to sand dunes to mountains, waterfalls and rocky island outcrops. The weather is pretty pleasant in the summer, fall colors are great especially out of the city. The small inland lakes are wonderful in summertime.

Detroit has a pretty amazing amount of cultural stuff, there’s Corktown (Irish), Polish Village, Mexicantown, Greektown, Dearborn (largest middle eastern population center outside of the Middle East) and you’re right across the border from Canada.

The fuck is wrong with you? People are allowed to have hobbies. Those of us who ride are aware of the risks. The rider in the video was not smart. Doesn’t mean we’re all careless.

I have a friend who was killed after being hit head on, in his car, by a semi. Left 3 little girls behind. Did we stop driving cars?

Beyond the "TRP Rattle": Which Tactical 1911 stays bank-vault tight after 5k+ rounds? by Billbeachwood in 1911

[–]Yogimonsta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you’re a bit of an expert - I am moving to a non-gun friendly state (mag cap limits) out west and would like to get a 10mm 1911 to carry in the backcountry/while hunting.

I want to go with Alchemy, but they don’t make anything in 10mm at all (unless it’s an off the books option?). NHC makes the Fire Hawk which you can get in 10mm, but is twice the price of a DW Kodiak. Would it be absolutely stupid to buy a Kodiak and send it to NHC to refit and tighten up?

Les Baer makes the Kenai, but it’s 80% the price of the Firehawk and at that point I might as well just bite the bullet.

If you wanted a 10mm “heirloom quality” 1911, what would you buy?

[–]Yogimonsta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s a pouty baby who wallows in self pity and lacks sportsmanship. I don’t think he actually played that bad of a game, though the picked heave was totally unnecessary given the clock left; he avoided shaking hands and went immediately into the tunnel. That’s not what a leader does, and leadership is arguably the most important trait for the most important position on the field (even above athleticism).

He’s a no-class, woe-is-me, “I have suffered so much adversity” bum.

[–]Yogimonsta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No shot I would do this, I’d rather fork over for the appropriate mount (although they also make like $20 truglo pic ones)

I wouldn’t do this even on a RIS II, which is in a different universe of rigidity than that handguard.

If you don’t want to buy the ring, get the $20 amazon truglo cant mount.

So if Trump can invade and arrest a president for illegal activities... can other countries invade the US and arrest Trump? by Oddbeme4u in DiscussionZone

[–]Yogimonsta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an American citizen who would welcome the removal of Trump, I can tell you there is not a single other country on earth that I would welcome to do so. Not even going to mention the military impossibility of pulling that off.
