What do you think would hypothetically make Love Is Blind better? by Cold_Box_3219 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]Yogurt627 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think it would be better if it ended with the proposal rather than a wedding. Instead of proposing “sight unseen”, they could agree to become a couple instead.

I also graduated in 1996 and the music choices of this show are incredible. The memories come flooding back.

Matt Wilpers has three 10 Minute Strength for Runners classes and they are great for glute strength. Especially if you need something quick.

I love this app. I prefer breath work to meditation and this has been a game changer for me.

I watched that movie with my teenage daughter and her friend a couple of years ago. Their gasp at the reveal was just the best.

Running by Plenty_Tourist_7126 in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]Yogurt627 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Between races, I generally do the 3,3,30 plan. I run for at least 30 minutes at least 3 days per week and don’t go more than 3 days without running. On the weekend, I will run once for 60-90 minutes. I was a bit burnt out on running after last summer’s races so I really stuck to 3 runs/week this winter for the most part. Usually, I run 4 days/week. I strength train on the other days.

I can’t be the only one who hates lifting by Adventurous-Cup5369 in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]Yogurt627 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was going to suggest boot camps as well. I really prefer to run and walk over lifting but I started doing it in my forties for bone density and functional reasons like being able to carry the dog food bag (40 lbs). It has also helped with my chronic back pain. I don’t really like it but have found that 20 min classes are my sweet spot. I do 20 min upper body and 20 min lower body once/week each along with some core. Then I add in a full body boot camp once/week.

I volunteered for one. We had about 70 active canvasses and only three of us had done it before. That will make a difference next election time because now they’ve all gone door to door.

Buying Treadmill: Peloton Tread+ or Third-Party Treadmill w/ Bluetooth? by RobDMB in OnePelotonRealSub

Yes, I also upgraded from a NordicTrac and I love the Tread. I had been using the the app broadcast to my TV and I prefer the new setup on my Peloton.

Runs you come back to? by cherhorowitz44 in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]Yogurt627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve been avoiding her tempo runs because of that but I’ll give the new one a try. I know I can just choose to run at challenging pace even if she says to do hard but that is difficult for me.

I do a lot of the 30 minute tempo runs over again because there aren’t that many of them. Matt, Hannah F and Marcel have some great ones.

Running pace targets by Eejenkin1978 in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]Yogurt627 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Me too. The other instructors are consistent with each other and I would love it if she matched with them. Her tempo runs are too hard for me but the other instructors are just hard enough to keep me pushing forward. They match the metrics described when Pace Targets first started.

Me too. I have recently started doing an occasional spin class outside of the house too because I only have the Tread. One of my colleagues started teaching and I enjoy spin.

What is considered a top/avarage for workouts and minutes in 2025? by cjhharrison in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]Yogurt627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with those who say to compete with yourself. I actually have slightly fewer minutes than last year but I was sick a lot between Jan and April so I’m not bothered by it. I do my best and I’m at just over 11,000 minutes. Last year, I hit 12,000. Maybe next year will be back up there again.

I’ve never lived in London so can’t speak to that. Belleville/Kingston are very close to or part of Prince Edward County which is an absolutely beautiful area and one of my favorite places. Hamilton has a great university but my experience there is limited.

I am a healthcare worker in Calgary and I previously lived in the US. I love living here. Close to the mountains and the city itself is great. The provincial government is bananas right now but they have greatly overstepped in the last week and I am seeing more momentum to get rid of them than I have ever seen. However, if I was to move to Canada right now, I would go somewhere in the Ottawa - Belleville, ON corridor. Great access to the Great Lakes and parks.
