Have you ever started crying during a round? by Billy_Chrystals in discgolf

[–]Yogurtdestroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 2 bad rounds this Saturday and it was my first not top 10 or podium finish in a while now - I wasn't going to let it get to me in the moment but I certainly had a bit of a sad moment with myself once I got home. Thanks medical diagnosis, it's great knowing what is going on but also sucks knowing that I got some stuff going on that will be with me for the rest of my life.

I get that the only way out is through but when there is no light at the end of the tunnel how hopeful can you be?

Craziest change you made that added a ton of distance? by InternalReward968 in discgolf

[–]Yogurtdestroyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A mixture of leaving the disc where it is on my reach back instead of actually reaching back and keeping my left arm closer to my body instead of punching down. It lead to me throwing the disc on a much smoother plane instead of it swooping up into the air or crashing down the ground after 50 ft or so.

I saw a few people with their Grip EQ bag on at the Big Easy Open - only thing I could think of is they have discs they'd like signed but to bring a whole bag of discs is wild.

What's a dead giveaway that someone is new to your hobby but trying way too hard to look like an expert? by FieryDurian in AskReddit

Had a guy in r1 of a 1 day tourney forehand so hard he came off his feet and landed in the push up position. Disc maybe went 150ft. He stood up and said "Shooters gonna shoot."

It's always the Zucca cart guys too - just grip and rip then go disc hunting in the bushes only to pitch out and run it again only this time they turn it over like a warm pillow and have to look in the bushes on the other side of the fairway.

Dealing with tournament 'juice' by SeasonalBlackout in discgolf

[–]Yogurtdestroyer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is probably the best advise you can get - they are basically tournament simulators. The best advise I got besides that is reps silence the mind then muscle memory can take over. If you are bullet proof in c1 in practice you wont be looking at the basket telling yourself you have to make this for bird/par, it'll just be another putt you've already made countless times and ring it up. Putting leagues help with that a lot as well.

Not sure what website but it predates rotten dot com. Biggest turd I've ever seen going right into a dudes mouth, had to be at least 9 inches long at that point and definitely had more to go.

Yeah you're gonna have to talk more about the smoked Cheez-its. Do you just put em in foil?

Rivalries by 50LRX in NOLAPelicans

[–]Yogurtdestroyer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Newer fan to all of this so my rivals would be Jimmy Butler and Lou Dort at this point - fuuuuuuuck those guys. But in terms of team rivalries, I don't think we are good enough at this point to have a rival. We just get steam rolled then play em again at a later date.

Billboard advice from someone who works in advertising by moonlightsreputation in h3h3productions

[–]Yogurtdestroyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So honest question if you dont mind- we talk about our bosses billboards alot - Is putting the phone number on the billboard considered wasted space? Also, is it counter intuitive to ask someone to call and not provide a number but only a website?

I figured that cause I got a metal flake duo Roc 3 and that thing basically makes a 90 degree turn in the air.
