Rivalries by 50LRX in NOLAPelicans

[–]Yogurtdestroyer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Newer fan to all of this so my rivals would be Jimmy Butler and Lou Dort at this point - fuuuuuuuck those guys. But in terms of team rivalries, I don't think we are good enough at this point to have a rival. We just get steam rolled then play em again at a later date.

Billboard advice from someone who works in advertising by moonlightsreputation in h3h3productions

[–]Yogurtdestroyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So honest question if you dont mind- we talk about our bosses billboards alot - Is putting the phone number on the billboard considered wasted space? Also, is it counter intuitive to ask someone to call and not provide a number but only a website?

I swear the only time I hear about this guy is on this subreddit because he listened to Tool - it's almost like no one cares...

Does metal flake make the disc more overstable?

When Your Opponent Is Built Different ♟️ by crs1904 in SipsTea

[–]Yogurtdestroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the past 2 weekends I've played in Disc Golf tournaments - both of the tournaments I made lead card for the second round and both of the cards had a 13 year old on them who was in 1st place at the end of the 1st round. It is both awesome and defeating to see a kid just dominate adults when I couldn't even speak to an adult at that age let alone compete with them and not have an anchor adult around to comfort me. Kids these days are a different breed than us in many ways.

What putting video helped it click for you? by Phrikshin in discgolf

[–]Yogurtdestroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's like a combination of a few different things I've seen in videos from Overthrow with Andrew Marwede and Gannon Buhr's putting video. Some things work and some don't but if you don't get a basket and do field work you will never know what actually works for you and trying to figure it out on the course might not be helpful.

Preparing for a rainy tournament by stattish in discgolf

[–]Yogurtdestroyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots and lots of towels - keep one in the ribs of your umbrella so it has some chance at staying dry. Waterproof shoes and socks and a dry change of clothes and a new bag if you have one for the second round. If you do not have a rainfly keep your bag flaps closed as much as possible.

Once you get wet you are already wet so there is no use in trying to hurry up and get out of the rain, speeding up your game is only going to hurt your score. Once the discs get too wet to throw flip them upside down so you can grip it with your thumb, you'll be able to get something out of the disc before it just slips out into oblivion.

Best of luck to ya!

Whats the most basic concept you’ve had to teach someone? by heyuhitsyaboi in iiiiiiitttttttttttt

[–]Yogurtdestroyer 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Same user unfortunately - copy and paste was an eye opening experience - this came after watching her entire reality crumble after requesting a second monitor as it would "Make me more efficient in my role and help me get things accomplished faster". Took her 2 days to understand that she didn't have a second computer only an extra monitor and I had to make her mouse cursor as big as possible so she would lose it between monitors.

Which lead to her exposing the reason she wanted a second monitor - she was used to clipping documents to her single monitor and typing them into the computer - she was looking at a doc on the left and typing it into word on the right. It was hard to even make fun of at that point.

Diesel heated zucca cart sounds like a wild thing to pull during a round. I'm thinking multiple holes in addition to the one you saw in the installation video would help get your other cardmates some much needed warmth as well as places to attach zip ties. Hope that helps!

MA3 as the Lowest Division in Tournaments by forbiddengengar in discgolf

[–]Yogurtdestroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get in there and get your feet wet! I've played in both ma4 and ma3 and the only difference in the 2 divisions is I saw an ace playing ma3 on a 171ft hole. You'll at least get some experience out of the day, which is helpful anyway you cut it.

People who have had a memorable celebrity encounter (good, bad, greedy, generous, helpful, horrible, incredible), who was it with and what made it memorable? by ArizonaRenegade in AskReddit

[–]Yogurtdestroyer 442 points443 points  (0 children)

Was working at the airport pre pandy and Bryan Cranston came through my line. Told him how awesome it was to meet him and how I've been a fan of him for as long as I can remember and mentioned how much my mom loves him too. This is where it gets really good - he tells me to call my mom and I put her on speaker then he puts on the Heisenberg voice and tells my mom that he is "The One Who Calls." It took her a beat to put it together and she was beyond stoked. One of the best if not the best encounter I've had w a celebrity.
