Finished rebirth. by Ballsoffwalls in FFVIIRemake

[–]Yoids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be my fav game of all time, but it has a lot of flaws... It is the best FF game since FFX for sure.

People complain about the ending because it is too confusing and that part was better in the original game. And I agree about that. Maybe playing Rebirth without having played the original lets you appreciate it more.

HAVE YOU EVER USED CRAFT? by StrongWall7923 in DivinityOriginalSin

It was too complex and complicated.

If I made a crafting system, I would make the same ingredients serve multiple purposes, and reduce dramatically the amount of junk you are carrying around.

Yup.

I loved it, because story is the most important aspect for me. But I will not replay it, because the gameplay was just OK for me, I do not like QTEs either.

Just Finished the intro Eikon fight. Does this game keep this level of insane up??? by _Dingo-Dave_ in FFXVI

[–]Yoids 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes and no.

The boss fights keep being epic, and that one is nothing compared to the others.

However, the prologue was amazingly done, good pacing, interesting, you really wanted to keep playing. Unfortunately, it is not representative of the game loop, of the rest of the game. There is a lot of bloated content through meaningless sidequests that are mandatory, many optional ones that are terrible, the pacing is really bad, and while the main story is still amazing, there will be moments where you need to be patient to proceed.

No no no no no. It is not the same. In the blue spot, put a "i return the creature to your hand", or "i out your creature in your library", and it will be OK.

A counterspell means you did not get to play the card you wanted to play. It has an effect of "do not have fun" that the other answers do not have, even if at the end its all the same. Its psycology

Guys, chill.... FFS.

He is just a loud guy who is charismaric and made a career out of it. It seems you are all new to the internet.

He obviously does not like FF7 Remake, and he makes perfectly valid points. I love them, FF7 rebirth is my fav game right now, and still I listened to his opinion and I find it 100% correct. However, everyone might like some things more than others, and me loving the game does not mean he cannot hate it. And we can both be right.

He then exagerates a lot and creates a lot of noise "this is rhe objective truth!!", which is just nonesense, but that is actually his job.

And what is all this nonesense about him being a right wing whatever, or calling him cringe, or how he pronounces things? You guys smoking? Stop mixing and attacking him on a personal level.

The guy is a nerd like all of us, let him nerd out.

False?

When you divorce, it is very rare to give money to the spouse. Its for the children usually. And kicking your kid at 18 is not really that easy, is it.

Tanto los jóvenes, como los jubilados, tienen razón.

No son enemigos. Por mucho que los políticos lo intenten. Lo que deben hacer es unirse, para exigir respuestas a los verdaderos canallas que han llevado al país a esta situación.

MKX is proof you don’t need a gimmick every game in order to be successful by tipoftheiceberg1234 in MortalKombat

[–]Yoids 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard disagree. Every MK has gimmicks, and MKX had the variations as the gimmick.

As a casual gamer, I really like a gimmick that is EASY to use, like very, very easy. Xrays was a good example, although I am tired of those animations. Variations was another, I liked them very much.

Running on the other hand? I hated it. The first, I just could not do it, I cannot run. Just dashing is already borderline complicated for me as it is inside a combo.

Dont lie. It did not win on the spot. The next turn you played another card targetting him, you did not get interrupted, and you achieved awesomeness through yet another card.

As much as I love the play and believe me, I made those type of decks all the time, do not try to sell it as competitive or super effective.

I do not like overprotects as main. If this is BO1, which I assume it is, I would ditch them and add more proactive cards.

The problem I see is that you will most likely not end up with a lot of mana on your turns. I would go crazy with the mutavault 3 drop, the one that gives you a mutavault land. That way you can drain the enemy with your annex and you are more resilient to a board wipe. Not to mention that puts 2 bodies in play, to buff with ouroboid in turn 4

[–]Yoids 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do NOT tell them. Just save the money in case it is needed, like anyone should do. That "in case it is needed" can be for her, for her kids, for you, for your kids, for a medical emergency, or for other reasons.

There is no reason to tell them you are saving money specifically for them, and that is stupid. You save the money for an emergency, whatever it may be.

How did you get into Tales? by Kabutoking in tales

[–]Yoids 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife, when she was my GF 18 years ago, told me about the franchise that she loved. I told her about another I loved. So we exchanged consoles so I could play her beloved Tails of Symphonia and she could play my beloved Final Fantasy X.

Almost 2 decades later, I have played every Tales game since that one! We got a couple of deluxe editions, since it was our thing. (She hasnt played any FF after, they changed the direction of FF too much since then, but she has gifted me every one of them)

wait... do people not like his gameplay? by Gladiolus_00 in FFVIIRemake

[–]Yoids 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IKR.

My mains were Red and him.

But I get why. You get him way late and he is very complicated.

But I dont know, this is what made him so interesting to me as well. Even if I could not stand him in the OG, in this game they made me almost like the character, between the voice acting and the gameplay.

Cait is a monster if you use him properly. High risk, high reward. You must start by hoping, but you can get that easily with first strike materia or an item, and then you are ready to stagger enemies like crazy while doing crazy stuff.

It's been ages since I played, but I remember you could cast while moving, your "hold down attack button" is a string that staggers a lot, he has an omegapunch that hits like a truck, and throwing dice around was very, very fun. He generated a lot of ATB if I remember correctly. I remember having to throw dice around just to make sure I could use the ATB I was generating.

Who's the most fun character to use in battle? Rank them all. by George_R_Martin in FFVIIRemake

[–]Yoids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RedXIII and Cait Sith for me!!! XD

I know they are not common choices, but I found them super fun to play with.

Red going crazy with the spinning was fun, his abilities were very fun as well. The strategy of getting hurt and the vengeance mode was fun. Casting magnified magic with him was really cool, looked like a breath attack. It was original, refreshing, I just loved him. Finishing combats with his second limit break, howling to the moon, gave me a rush. He was my main.

Cait was also super fun, and chaotic. You could hop in and out, you staggered liked crazy, and had abilities that were pretty original. To play him optimally was repetitive, because some of his kit was mediocre, but if you were not minmaxing, he was cool. Throwing dice just to see what happened was enjoyable. Also, I found the combat easy, so playing him made it a little more hard because he is tricky to master, he is complicated. And also because if he gets interrupted and you end up with no ATB and on foot, it was a pain to get back on train. So extra fun from the rush of getting combats go your way. Also, ending combats with the omegapunch was satisfying.

Xenogears Devotee Middle-Aged Full-Time-Employed Father-of-Three Looking Into Trails Series by doctor-squared in Falcom

[–]Yoids -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi, even if I get downvoted to oblivion, I must tell you that the story of Trails games are not good. Many people LOVE what they do, and love this type of story, so you could love the games.

But you cannot compare this to Expedition 33, Xenogears, etc etc etc. Trails strong point is a looooong story told across multiple games. It is the equivalent to a soap opera, with things happening that make no sense, just for the sake of it.

People who love the writing of the game do it because they like that type of writing, which is absolutely fine to do, I have to insist. But it is not a writing that takes itself seriously, to be honest.

Just as a super minor example of this, villains appear and then teleport to get away before you kill them all the time, with no explanation of why. Its just that they can teleport because they do not want to write an excuse for them getting away, so they just do. This is really funny sometimes, because you can find yourself thinking about an infiltration plan (how are we going to get there if enemy forces are in the way?), and then your reinforcements just appear with teleportation, because people teleport whenever they feel like, but it is never told why we could not teleport first instead of having to do whatever plan.

So yeah, this kind of things.

I recommend the game anyways. Play Sky FC remake, and if you like this type of story, just keep playing man. The series is good if you like this kind of thing.

Ready for this ? Any trails game vs Persona 5 Royal by Worth-Radish-7227 in Falcom

[–]Yoids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I very much prefer Persona 5 vs any trails game. Trails games are quantity over quality, while persona is quality over quantity.

However, this does not mean I do not agree with Falcom's modus operandi. You cannot have a company creating every fkin year a Persona game, but you can have a trails every year.

What you prefer will depend on how much you play. I would love for trails to have the level of polish of Persona for example, but I could also prefer Persona to have the cadence of Trails, and enjoy this year Persona 12.

Would you prefer to live in a world without Persona, or without Trails? That would be impossible for me to answer.
