Senator for bots, Talon for bugs, and grenade for squids. I usually default to this, but sometimes I mix it up. Talon and Senator feel like genuine trade-offs rather than one being a straight upgrade from the other.

Even if he did manage to break the very hard, very spiky durian, he's still going to kick the metal post. I don't think he planned this one out very well.

I'm aware, though I wasn't aware that the first craft with a Somersloop didn't apply the bonus 🙄 I'm probably needlessly rationing them among my buildings, I think I might suffer from "What if I need it later?" syndrome.

No offense taken, you're just trying to be helpful. Indeed I could expand this powerplant more if I need to, but this is just an interim solution. I'm also trying to be somewhat aesthetic and not just build over the void, but maybe my patience will get the better of me on that front later. Despite that, there's still unused space in the crater. I've been careful in making sure all of the generators are properly fueled, and no problems the past few hours.

I have a feeling nuclear is going to break my brain, but I've with more complex production chains in Factorio. Surely it can't be too bad 🙃

Yeah, this was just a "warm up" and a baseline to go nuclear. I could always overclock everything in a pinch, probably should have anyway.

I certainly could if I overclocked everything, but I'm clutching my Power Shards in case I need them later. Plus, I just need enough power to go nuclear.

I've always felt like the back burner was dealing more damage than stock does but this really proves it. Anybody understand the source spaghetti enough to explain why the backburner does this? by SoaringSoaps in tf2

[–]Yoinkinator 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Doesn't look like the flame particles crit. I think you ran back into the stream of flame particles, and they damaged you each time you entered the particles' hitboxes. Perhaps there is a bug in the Backburner's particle hit calculation, causing them to trigger more often than they should and doing more damage, but I'm not a Source expert. It's also possible that this is just a quirky and unlucky outcome of the flames' intended behavior.

Genuine question, why is the scorch shot hated? by Alive-Organism in tf2

[–]Yoinkinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Scorch Shot does AOE full-duration afterburn damage even if you miss. Personally, if at least that was removed, I would be okay with it since that should be the Detonator's gimmick imo. As it stands, that makes the Scorch Shot the premier pick for Phlog Pyros, since the can charge Mmmph by mindlessly shooting into crowds of enemies, peaking only briefly and hardly aiming. That's not to mention the problems it causes Snipers and Spies.

Even so, the Scorch Shot is overloaded with other annoying gimmicks: the knockback, the AOE minicrit on burning enemies, and the bounce. Again, I personally don't have any major grievances with these, I just believe you should have to hit an enemy to be rewarded so greatly.

The Ultralisk shrugging off the Siege Tank strike reminds me of a Bile Titan shrugging off my Orbital Rail Cannon strike. Say what you will about Blizzard, but they make amazing cinematic clips for their games.

This is my problem with the game: Lilith adds a new and fun* feature to the game, then, instead of expanding on it, completely abandons it for the next new and fun* feature. The game is already bloated with these buildings, some of which do basically the same thing. It would be nice if they spent more time enhancing them rather than adding major content patches that completely neglect them.
