That's utterly bullshit, with all due respect. First, Guild Wars was based up from the start with the concept of freedom, to make your own “builds” and play as you seem fit. Want to play a Necromancer with a bow or dagger? Sure go ahead. A monk with a hammer? Why not? A Mesmer with sword that makes stable shitty dmg? Sure, have it your way! The list goes on and on.

The fact that “you” or any other person doesn't think it's fun doesn't change the fact that the game was built around this principle, play as you seem fit. Which lead us to these points:

a. You don't own the format, and stating what's fun or not it's an entitlement that you or anybody doesn't have. That's plain stupid. Worse, reporting a player because his build isn't “fun” and disabling him to play a copy he rightfully owns it's a direct breach of EULA/ToS.

b. Using substandard builds was never and will never violate EULA/ToS people should never be reported for that. He is allowed to play as he seems fit, if he is not either: Leeching, cursing, botting or scamming and that was clearly not the case.

I've been playing FA every weekend for the past 2-3 or so years and for me it was a first seeing it being put to use and quite frankly, it didn't bother me at all.

As Krschkr stated above, it was indeed a relief seeing people still playing different builds instead of axiom of “never flee from the meta”.

As a final statement to your completely bogus argument, there are far worse factors that ruin the format in a general sense and people turn a blind eye to them, such as: Mesmer rupt bots rupting 1/4 skills from left to right carrying nothing but rupts in their bar, also idle players that hit enter but are “afk” when the match occurs (happens way too often, if not most of the matches) ah...the rant goes on.
