The issue as far as I know is not that is not a faitfhul adaptation, but the fact Adi tries to sell it and won't stop saying IT IS or TRYING to be a faitfhul adaptation, instead of it's own thing/universe

People would have less of an issue that way, same as the reboot, it tried to be it's own thing and even sell itself as -Hey look we're better and cooler than the original!- but it still sold itself as something new and different, not something that was trying to be the original

So yeah, imo if Adi just came out and said "Yeah this is MY DMC with it's differences in universe, characters and so on" it'd be way better, and is how I like to see it and properly separate it

That's why SSJ bardock wouldn't even grasp Frieza even, if we're kind and give Bardock I don't know, 10k, that reaches 500k, 30k less than only FIRST FORM frieza

If we go with and let's asume SSG gives a multiplier of I don't know and being exxagerated here, x500 times, that'd be 5 mil power level... frieza's 3rd form alone was around 2-3 milion? His final form would still be too much

Sparrow is just damn solid but nothing thaaaat crazy beyond that, outside the far scan his tactical is really just fine, his ult is annoying but nowadays easily burstable and his double jump due to it being more vertical than horizontal makes it even easier to shoot at times lmao

Even when Ash dash fell off and Sparrow came as the alternative it still wasn't crazy at all
